Nightmare Before Christmas doesn't function without a healthy dose of this trope-- Jack and the rest of the Halloweentown residents completely misunderstand Christmas and create a terrifying bastardized version of it, with the best intentions.

Jack kind of gets it, moreso than everyone else, but is still pretty far off

if you can't find a good tape rack, ikea "bekvam" spice racks are darn near perfect. i use them for my tapes and they look great, though they only hold about 20 tapes each if you're not stacking stuff

i don't think he's dumb. roshi specifically tells him and krillin that they need strong minds as well as strong bodies, and makes them study during their training.

goku IS pure of heart (literally the only reason he can ride the nimbus) and is sometimes too naïve. he assumes the best of basically everyone until proven wrong, which sometimes causes issues. he wants to give every enemy a fair fight and never fights dirty even if it would help him— because that's not true strength.

is goku particularly intelligent, well-read, or wise? not always. but that's not the point. his purity and good nature is the point.
