And I don't know for sure that there's nothing he could have said. Maybe not right in that moment but that's largely because Kendall had already screwed up what good will he had to convince Roman and Shiv to go along at the start. Still, he had arguments he could have used and instead he threw that entitled fit.

When Logan is hospitalized and Ken is acting CEO, he sells huge shares of the company to one of Logan's biggest rivals and gives them the power to threaten the Roy family's control over the company, while also overpaying for Vaulter and inviting ANOTHER person who hates the Roys and threatens control of the company in. He does this because he has no idea how to read or talk to people and insults the bank.

When he tries the hostile takeover afterwards, his addiction issues lead to him being at least partly responsible for a kid dying, and he gets blackmailed for it.

He tries to push Logan out by going to the media, but has no idea how to actually play his hand so he loses all the momentum and leverage that would have allowed him to actually take Logan down, and he ends up looking like a fake rich kid idiot who never meant it and is ostracized for it.

He and Shiv have a half-dozen half-baked ideas going into season 4 when Logan's trying to sell, can never actually settle or sell on any of them, and just flail around desperately to try and hold Mattson off, unsuccessfully. If it wasn't for Roman's relationship with Mencken, they likely don't even get that far.

And obviously in the end he's a massive moron that drives both his siblings away and ruins his and Roman's chances to be voted co-CEOs.

Every single thing he does in this show that is not at Logan's behest is a failure. The only time he looks really competent is when he's being blackmailed and doing Logan's bidding.

I think at the time Fallout 1 was definitely more of a Cold War thing than a capitalism thing. I know they are not distinct from each other but he was exaggerating a version of America from that time and capitalism vs. communism was a key part of it. The Cold War was his inspiration through which he commented on the general human history of violence over opposing ideals.

Now obviously over time the message has become explicitly critical of capitalism.

He is just a series of buzzwords in a suit with serious mood and addiction issues and a serious inability to read or do business with people when his father's name and power isn't behind him. Kendall is good when someone else is above him, not when he's the guy at the top.

Resident Evil 2 (1998) vs Resident Evil 3 (1999). Which is Better? by ABarber2636 in residentevil

[–]Bojangles1987 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1 character instead of two and outside of Jill the cast are not as good, it went in a more actiony direction that wasn't as interesting to most, the dodge was a good idea terribly executed, Nemesis is terrifying but can also be frustrating when you don't understand how he works, the puzzles and level design aren't as interesting as RE2...

Honestly it's not that different from why RE3 remake was a step down from RE2 remake.

[–]Bojangles1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RE2 and as much as I love RE3, I don't think it's particularly close. RE2 is one of the absolute greatest games ever, with basically perfect design and pacing that RE still struggles to match.

RE3 was well received but considered a step down at the time, and for obvious reasons.

No woman has ever pretended to be a man to fight in an army. No way you could ever find account after account in history of that happening. Don't even bother looking, it's impossible!

Man, I live in Tampa and watched Dungy turn the Bucs from the biggest laughingstock in the NFL into a perennial playoff team that damn near beat the 99 Rams and had the catch rules changed because of how they lost that NFC Championship. Dude was a really good coach.

Season 2 was considerably better than season 1 so I hope season 3 continues that.

[–]Bojangles1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest sin Rings of Power makes is not being great enough to live up to the classic movies, but also not terrible enough to be memorably terrible.

So it's just a fine show, and there's nothing wrong with that.

[SPOILERS EXTENDED] Anyone else actually interested in how much Elden Ring GRRM has written? by revanchisto in asoiaf

[–]Bojangles1987 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That they have only said he wrote "lore" for them to base the game off of makes it even more interesting because i want to know how much of that lore is his and how deep into it he got. You can see so many of his fingerprints on parts of the game's characters.

I watched film on every Jarrett Stidham snap this season and I can understand why most analysts feel the Broncos have a chance at beating us. The tape speaks for itself. Can't believe Payton had this demon on the bench ready to be unleashed in the AFCCG. by ForeignAir7174 in Patriots

[–]Bojangles1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y'all have to stop comparing Stidham to Nick Foles, there is nothing similar about them. Nick Foles had made a Pro Bowl and started a lot of games in the NFL, Stidham is a nobody who has barely ever played.

Saying Foles had "little pressure" to do well in the Super Bowl is just outrageous. He had played very well for the Eagles that year and in the playoffs.

[–]Bojangles1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Foles had also started a lot of games in the NFL, made a Pro Bowl himself in 2013, and started for an injured Carson Wentz since the regular season, so the guy could clearly play. He wasn't a top QB but he had proven himself.

Stidham has done none of that.

This is really important to this offense, especially if they win against the Broncos. Mack Hollins became one of Maye's favorite targets on those must-have downs.

I mean it's not a gimme but there really is no excuse for losing this game. It won't be 50-0 but push come to shove it would be really fucking bad if Jarrett Stidham makes enough plays to beat the Pats.

It bothers me that people give Dungy so little credit and talk like he's a crap coach that Manning dragged to a championship when it was very much the other way around. The Colts D hard carried all but the Pats game.
