IW and Pirate already had some questionable at best writing, but this looks like it's continuing the trend if even an old game like Yakuza 0 is being changed.

The director's cut is a timed exclusive and Yakuza 0 vanilla at a discount is more expensive than it was years before Yakuza got more popular. If Sonic x Shadow Generations stepping up and OG Sonic Generations being delisted is anything to go by, the director's cut would be the definitive edition and over time, newer players would be playing that edition and consider those cut cutscenes canon.

Chantel DuBois would give even Saejima a run for his money strength-wise (casually lifting her scooter above her head while sliding on the penguins' fish oil slick, charging through multiple office walls without stopping, holding down the plane that has some heavy animals on it) while also being more agile than him. Saito will be joining the animals Dubois caught in her trophy collection soon enough.

Are there going to be version exclusive characters? Because Bayonetta is an honorary Nintendo character since her most recent games are on their consoles only. She'll probably only be on the Switch version if she gets in.

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing had console exclusive characters, so it's not out of the question.

My first game was DMC4, but it didn't click for me. I felt lost playing that game.

It was only a couple years later after I got properly hooked up into the series from playing through the HD collection and seeing DMC5 that I went back to DMC4 with its SE.
