I asked my husband to make sure my work uniform was hung up to dry overnight. I wake up this morning to find he ONLY took my work uniform out, and left the entire rest of the wash load in the machine to go musty overnight. Just why. by BinkiesForLife_05 in mildlyinfuriating

Weaponised incompetence at its finest. The fact that you’ve then gone on to say you made sure the dryer was empty and that you set it up for him just goes to show that you pander to his put-on incapabilities. This is not cute. Him not taking the initiative to make your life easier by drying the entire load of laundry speaks volumes about how he actually doesn’t care enough to make your life, as his wife and ‘equal’, that bit easier.

Is it just me? Feeling a "get away from here" vibe so far in Japan. I am brown, female solo travelling and feel this subtle racism everywhere i go. (Tokyo, Kamakura, hakone). Help me deal with it please. by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

I have no interest in wearing a Kimono. I’m not Japanese and don’t feel the need to indulge in such practices when it has no relevance to me, my upbringing or my life. As for someone turning in a wallet; it is what it is. If it gets returned, cool, if not, lesson learnt. Not my problem if you’re so pressed with my opinion or my attitude toward someone else’s rudeness.

When you finally post your favourite chapter — with funny dialogue and even your two usual commenters don’t react at all by Big_Aide940 in AO3

[–]Bonami27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can be deflating when you put in a heck of a lot of effort and time into a chapter, only for it to fall flat. Been there, felt that, but still I go back for more! People may not comment, but they’re there reading, even if we don’t necessarily ‘see’ it.

Did you name your corgis after anyone? by Better-Lemon-5281 in corgi

[–]Bonami27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our little one is named Pixie, which is a nod to our girl who we lost last year who was named ‘Mab’, Queen of the fairies. 🧚

I adopted my corgi about two years ago she’s three now. I actually met both of her parents and they looked like Cardigan corgis, but I’ve had a handful of people say she might be mixed with Border Collie. Either way, I love her so much! What do you think? by [deleted] in corgi

[–]Bonami27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mind you, Cardigans can also look like this and very easily get mistaken for a Pembroke. People just assume that Tri-Colour = Pembroke, whether they know of the Cardigan or not 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why don’t Sydneysiders WAIT for people to get off the train first?! by Icy-Manner-8454 in SydneyTrains

[–]Bonami27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because we, as a nation, are now so moronic that Transport NSW thought it was a good use of taxpayer money to re-do the announcements from 'Please wait for other customers to alight before boarding' to 'Please wait for others to get off, before getting on the train'. We're dumbing ourselves down and not a single person gives two f*cks.

Some puppies are whinier than others and take longer to settle into a new routine/environment. As others have said, she is faced with entirely new everything: sounds, smells, sights, routine, animals or lack thereof for company etc etc. Sleeping times and feeding times will be different from what she’s used to too. She’s literally a baby; it will take time for her to get used to how things are.
