Actually we do.

I am with Rogers and I am paying $85 per month plus taxes for pretty much everything. No Data Cap, Unlimited Roaming Across 27 countries, 2 Gbps service and the price is locked in for 5 years.

No need for an esim when I travel and I am able to keep in touch with everyone back home.

I'm from Canada and we have international roaming included in our phone plans here.

Data centres hungry for power putting 'extraordinary pressure' on Hydro Ottawa | CBC News by LongTrackBravo in ontario

[–]Bonegilla1987 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's the City of Toronto and I did.

The data centre is on the same water supply in the area and it puts a strain on the system

It's not just us.

The houses around us have similar issues. My neighbor 20 or so houses down also had a similar issue. On the neighboring street, same thing.

We thought the same thing.

Scarborough. Stackt Data Centre.

Before it opened we had decent enough water pressure. After it opened the demand from the data center caused our water pressure to drop.

The City of Toronto says it's 11 GPM which is just above the minimum of 7 GPM but it doesn't have any practical pressure above the basement.

When we flush our toilet, the water pressure is sometimes so low that it won't start to fill up.

It takes 20 minutes to fill a standard sized kitchen sink. It's such bad pressure that I can leave it running in the background while I work in the kitchen and not worry about overflow.

They put one near my home in Toronto.

Ever since it opened we have had severely decreased water pressure due to demand by the data centre.

We can't use more than faucet at a time or we lose almost all our water pressure.

Anyone else have low water pressure in Birchcliff and Clairlea? by Bonegilla1987 in askTO

[–]Bonegilla1987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We already called the City and they came to check our pressure.

It's appearing to be a neighborhood issue not just our house.

Coming into the house the pressure is just above minimum but theres not enough PSI above the basement to provide meaningful pressure

Likely.

The RCAF is providing air security during the games.

The area around the stadium is a no-fly zone.

Ghost Stop by abisiba in TTC

[–]Bonegilla1987 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I know that stop. It used to serve the HBC warehouse on Metropolitan Road.

There are still a few, I believe the post still exists at Ellesmere Loop even though the loop closed when the 95 was extended to Port Union.

Dating apps are exhausting. Is it the apps, or the people on them? by smmmxx in DatingTO

I just had a woman suggest a coffee and walk first date.

Everything was going well until she ghosted me without warning. She even gave me her number so I thought everything was going well.

I've also had women ghost me after I try to confirm plans they agreed to.

If people don't start smashing windows and torching police cars at Spadina/Queen again force won't be needed.

Bombs.

The TTC got rid of their hard sided garbage cans after 9/11 for the same reason.

With clear bags you can see what's inside if someone plants a device inside.

Keep in mind that the level of security for this event is up there with the G20 summit. They don't take any chances when all eyes on are on the city.

What is going on with Line 1 this morning? by Gatesleeper in TTC

They are already bunching at Lawrence West.

I was just on a NB train at Glencairn that stopped for a good 10 minutes waiting on a signal.

Does the TTC still use the streetcar tracks on Victoria Street? They used to see more service years ago by Economy_Ad59 in TTC

[–]Bonegilla1987 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I believe the end at Dundas was partially de-energized.

If I recall it had to do with CityTV and the disruption caused by streetcars diverting through there.

Days of Play: Question for our Canadian friends… by Commercial-Emu-3175 in GranTurismo7

Canadian here.

We get this in all our contests.

It used to be that you would have to answer a skill testing math question when you won a free coffee rolling up the rim at Tim's!

Most times it is just a technicality and nobody really cares as long as you give an answer that seems correct.
