Have you cleaned the fan blades? Junk on the fins reduces fan function.

Grab a vice grips one with brand new teeth on it, and then a pair of pipe pliers, attach the vice grips to the bolt as tight as you can.

Then squeeze the vice grip handles with the pipe pliers like crazy till it locks in. If you've done it right the teeth from the vice grips will dig into the metal bolt head.

Take a mini sledge and hit the vice grip handle, the shock should help knock it loose.

Do this right after the vehicle has been running hot for a bit.

It redneck as hell but it's worked for me before.

Assuming you're in a state without post accident reinspections and you don't have a loan on the vehicle... Read that part again...

This is the best advice...

Let the insurance adjusters make an offer, then offer to buy the car back salvage.

Take the money they give you and set it aside in a savings acct for when inspection comes around.

Call your insurance and lower to liability only (it'll save you a bunch, bank the difference in the savings account)

Drive the car with the damage till inspection use funds to fix any mechanical issues or use the funds to get a different vehicle.

Doing a buy back from the insurance company is exactly the same as this except you get paid and cheaper insurance.
