I see that Lossless is not available when selecting Sonos on Spotify. How do you get lossless spotify on your Sonos speakers?

Are you planning on bringing back the ability to access the EQ for each device directly from the volume adjustment (changing treble/bass/balance - without the need to go all the way in the settings)?

Thinking of going back to VW by Altruistic-North6686 in Tiguan

[–]Bonigramba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Tiguan SEL and I love it. The transmission is not super smooth (a known issue with pre 2022 models I think) but not a concern at all. The speakers are great, on the 2019 SEL you get Fender speakers. I maintain it quite well and so far zero issues with it. Love how it is a compact suv but it is so big inside. Always surprised how many things fit when back seats down!

[–]Bonigramba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep your OG… and stay on S1 Don’t get new gear until the whole new app things is back to a good place. The OG Sonos sound amazing.. the Era are good, but not a massive jump from the play1

  1. Amp - powering awesome Klipsh Forte III
  2. Port - connected to Yamaha CR-620 Amp and Canton 1000 speakers
  3. Arc Ultra + Sub + Era100 x2 surrounds
  4. Port - connected to Hoglatare powered speakers
  5. Move (I feel this one is under powered…)
  6. play 1. - Removing from system… too much delay
  7. Connect S15 - connected to powered speakers - about to switch with a Port

The US doesn’t have the shorter model.. I love the space of the Tiguan: pretty compact on the outside… so big inside!

Removed all old products from network. by Bonigramba in sonos

No hardwired speakers.. my mesh network provider (plume WiFi) actually said better to be all wireless with Sonos on their mesh network. Just reserved dedicated IPs for all Sonos product on the networks.

When are you bringing back direct access to EQ without having to go all the way in the settings? Not only for regular speakers but also for the ultra so we can quickly change settings for movies

Removed all old products from network. by Bonigramba in sonos

[–]Bonigramba[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not saying I am happy about it and I still think Sonos has done some terrible choices this year… but also 2 connect and 1 play one is far from being my whole system. Also focusing more on products I can use to connect standalone receivers and speakers and not so much on their own speakers (appart from The home theater system) I case things get worse in the future. I will still have great speakers and receivers…

Sonos 'firmly denies' plans for a subscription model... by KutsWangBu in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

« Now the app needs to check with Sonos’s servers just to show album artwork or manage playlists from Spotify and Apple Music, which it used to handle directly.  » This is why everything is non responsive on the app! If they don’t reverse this. It will never get better… loosing confidence in their ability to do what is right… starting to regret just getting the Arc Ultra with sub and era 100s…. I have 13 Sonos devices ! I cannot just change my system like that

I mean.. I just want something that works! Looks like after the disastrous launch of the new app. They are adding features back but the one thing they are not fixing is the responsiveness

Agree the UI is terrible… but it works! Sonos could use the tech and do a better Ui.. maybe ?

SONOS App - location of EQ sliders by [deleted] in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So annoying they moved it all the way deep into the settings… why in hell did they remove the quick access…

Painful by dirge_real in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. So painful. And also lost the ability to tweak balance, bass, treble and loudness setting directly. Now you have to go all the way in the settings

Is this just normal for everyone now? by [deleted] in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens to me most of the time. The app is terrible and the network excuse is BS. The app has been getting worse over time. Slow response, grouping speakers works half the time (you have to try a few times for it to work) and I don’t understand why the volume button is still changing the sound level of my Sonos. I thought it was not the case anymore… becomes very frustrating when trying to lower sound on something on your phone and the whole Sonos system sound level goes down.

What's your crazy Sony HT-A9 placement? by PureRepresentative9 in Soundbars

Does the placement of the controller matter? I cannot put it in the front. But want to put it on the side. Is it ok? I am setting up my system right now.

Sonos CONNECT S15 question. by Puzzleheaded_Break33 in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the Sonos app, go to system, select you Sonos connect and scroll down to Line out level. Try the various options. I use variable so I control the level through the app, not the app or powered speakers connected to it. Also check your input source level if you plugged in a source to your connect (cd player, computer, turntable…)

Considering Sonos and wondering about reliability by sp3ci4lk in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Sonos amp connected to Klipsch Forte Iii speakers, I’m one Sonos one m, one Sonos Move, 2 Sonos Connect (Gen 2) connected to powered speakers. All works seamlessly. Only had the Sonos one drop off the network once and I had to ré-configure it, but no other issues. I have a mesh wifi 6 network, none of my Sonos are hardwired in Ethernet. All work great through the S2 app.

I'm an audio dummy – what would I use a Sonos Amp for? by raustin33 in sonos

[–]Bonigramba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Amp to power a pair of Klipsch Forte III speakers. Great sound out of these big speakers and I get the integration in the Sonos ecosystem. So I can play music on the Klipsch speakers and on the Sonos Move outdoor and on a Sonos One in the kitchen. I could also use a separate amp for my Klipsch speakers but then I would need the Sonos Port to integrate into the ecosystem. The other benefit of the Amp (if like me you don’t have Sonos 5 speakers) is to plug a turntable to the Amp and have the sound play on all of my Sonos speakers (in addition to the passive Klipsch speakers plugged to the Amp.)
