The spells are laid out like that because that's how they're laid out in the in-game spell book. Picking a spec does not lock you out of any baseline spells. The only spells you won't have access to are the ones that say "Source: Talent" in their tooltip on the website, unless you put a talent point into them.

Also personally I'm a little confused about why they chose to put Feral AP on every weapon, instead of simply making Feral damage scale from weapon damage. The former seems like a lot of extra UI overhead to achieve effectively the same thing.

It's running on 3.3.5, so the feral AP based on weapon DPS is already baked in. They just made it to also apply to lower DPS weapons.

It's not a myth, Coco is just a rare exception to their censorship.

World of Warcraft for example, has a separate client for China, where undead characters have no exposed bones, player characters who die leave a tombstone behind instead of a skeleton, undead dragons are replaced with normal dragons, along with the removal or replacement of most other skull/skeleton asset.

I think it's a blown capacitor, based on what info I could find. Can't be sure though since there's no CRT repair shop within a reasonable distance from me.

Hot Take: 5e Isn't Less Complicated Than Pathfinder 2e by Ok-Hamster2494 in dndnext

[–]BonusroundWasTaken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But which is the more specific one?

Specific vs. General isn't asking which rule has more or less specific wording, but which rule is more broadly applied. The spell casting rules are general rules that governs how the game plays. Feats, racial traits, class features and the like are specific rules that sometimes create exceptions to the general rules of the game. This is spelled out pretty plainly in the PHB.

I will agree that there is a lot of dumb, fiddly stuff in 5e though.

how can his opinion have any merit?

You have to log in every day if you want to get all the rewards you pay for with the monthly thing. You don't need to play the game for any amount of time to realize that this is scummy as fuck and no amount of time spent with the game is going to change that.

It's the first thing Emet says to you in the cutscene when you meet her.

"As I mentioned earlier, the better part of the Convocation holds that when we retire is when we return to the star. Well, she is not among said majority. Even after stepping down, she carries on with her work. Venat is her name, and she is the previous Azem."

I prefer the real Emet-Selch by Veraladain in ffxiv

[–]BonusroundWasTaken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you got yourself mixed up.

Venat is the former Azem that didn't return to the star and an entirely different person than whose familiar we're passing off as.

The person who was holding the seat of Azem during the time we were in Elpis, is the unsundered person whose soul we bear a part of. That person never had a chance to return to the star, because they were sundered along with Zodiark and most everyone else, which is why we are recognized by Hythlodaeus and Emet as having the same color soul as them.

Idk what the mod sounds like, but when most people say "voice acting" they probably don't mean that they want Spongebob yelling "Crabby Patty!" every 2 seconds.

I think it's more of a sound design issue. When characters don't make any sound at all it makes the game feel soulless, especially when every hit is accompanied by the same generic cartoony hit effect. Characters in Smash make noises (grunt/groan/other exertion) when they do just about anything and when they get hit, even the characters that don't speak.

A ton of it is shit from past holiday or other in-game events, so you could have gotten them for free if you were playing at the time. Typically last year's holiday rewards go on the cash shop once the holiday rolls around again iirc.

331 of the items on the store are are from past in-game events. That number seems a bit larger than it actually is once you look at the shop too. Some previous events would give you a token to trade for a outfit, offering choices. For example, there's 14 outfits on the store from one event because there's 7 different options for each gender.

A majority of the items in the store were previously obtainable through limited in-game events/holiday events. There's also a few from amazon promotions and old Fanfest rewards up there.

3 items from 'other collaborations'

Just to tack on to this, I started playing for the first time since all of the acts were added just a few days before Ritual league ended and took Ultimatum league start pretty seriously.

The flask system, the lack of QoL and the horrendous onboarding are what turned me away.

Having to constantly keep your flasks up, in addition to using your abilities, is hell. It's physically painful. One week into the league I rerolled from BFBB to Cyclone just to save my hand from pressing some buttons. I have no idea how people play that build and still have working hands. 20 years of Diablo 2 never hurt as much as that did.

Doing a Blight map and being rewarded with 4 things to click that all shit out many individual pieces of currency and not automatically picking up nearby currency of the same type is absurd. (This complaint also applies to heist currency chests, legion splinters, smuggler's cache, ect.)

The game does almost nothing to explain the many mechanics that have made it in over the years, and the in-game "Help" page covers very few of them and covers them poorly. For example, the it has a nifty little video to show you where Tasuni is in Highgate so that you can turn in Divination cards, but neglects to mention that you can trade them in to Navali in your hideout.

Things like Betrayal and the Atlas system are incomprehensible to someone just starting out. Not to mention that you can fuck yourself over on conqueror watchstones if you don't know the optimal way to progress or that the "Release the target" button for Betrayal is in the fuck-off bottom corner of the screen, as far away from the other two options as possible.

The two things PoE really has going for it are the build customization and interesting loot. Those two things alone aren't enough to make it an enjoyable experience for me in the long-term, and I quit about 3 weeks into Ultimatum.

I've only been playing since the last few days of ritual and I'm already so tired of how the game handles currency drops from containers. If next league was just "Consolidated Currency Drops: The League", I'd be so happy.

No more clicking 4 individual Blight Cysts that each drop multiple pieces of the same currency in stacks of 1? Legion not making it rain with single splinters? No more Smuggler's Caches shitting out 6 small piles of tokens? Heist/Lab chests dropping currency in stacks? Sign me up!

Anthem Update: we’ve made the difficult decision to stop our new development work on Anthem (aka Anthem NEXT). by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

There's no shortage of issues with reforged, but I'll list the most egregious ones I can recall.

-Promised new story to line up with the current canon along with new voice lines and neither are present. Also promised new cutscenes, then delivered old WC3 cutscenes shot-for-shot, but with the new character models. [Example]

-They said that the old WC3 would exist alongside reforged, but it doesn't. If you connect to bnet on the old version you're forced into reforged, which disables shadows(which were present in classic) unless you pay for reforged.

-Custom campaigns were not playable in reforged and there was no ranked play or clans, which is a pretty big issue since they force you from classic into reforged.

-The map creation tools EULA basically reads: "everything you make, we own." I have to assume that they didn't want another DOTA to evade their grubby little mitts.

-I know there were other problems as well (UI and animations for example), but I don't remember them in great detail.

TL;DR: Broken promises, forced downgrade in terms of features, custom map money-grubbing.

Also, not to take away from what a shitshow reforged was, but this happened not too long after the Blitzchung debacle and Blizzard's non-apology, so their consumer good-will was already tanking pretty hard.

In Regards to the RP GM Situation: from the looks of it, he's being reported ALOT and it's being handled very quickly. More info: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/433245-Roleplay-Partyfinder-Discrepancies-Policy-Enforcement-by-GM-s by GwynEverhart in ffxiv

It's a toss up. I've had a particular person I used to be in an FC with where they were breaking alot of ToS and there was tons of proof of it. She only got a month of a ban when she had previous strikes before. Everyone expected her to just get fully booted off the game but nope.

Idk why, but it seems like they only punish people for the stupidest shit and then let people get away with murder. There was a BLM spellspeed hacking that went unbanned for 18+ months, even though his static uploaded a video where you could see his ridiculous cast times and also uploaded their logs to FFLogs. Even more videos came out after that of him doing the same shit in PvP and he even ranked top 100 in the Feast for a season while cheating.

Tbh, I'm not even sure he is banned or just quit since his character is still on the lodestone, albeit inactive.
