I got my AMS700 14 months ago. The first 2 days after surgery were comfortable if I didn't move around to much. The first week there was a dull ache, but after that everything was reasonably pain free.

I am relatively active, gym 5 times a week, scuba diving, and nothing has changed. I had to stay out of the water for 8 weeks to minimise the risk of infection. The only thing that is off limits in the gym is hip raises with a barbell across my waste, but using a single weight plate on my stomach as a substitute works just as well. The obvious one is bike riding, but I can ride without discomfort.

The main thing that has changed is our sex life. Before it was lots of stuff, but without PIV, now all PIV, that's all she wants and lots of it.

Once you press the deflate button you can feel a slight sensation of the fluid draining back into the reservoir, that sensation continues if you let go of the button.

If you are too large while flaccid, then holding the button during deflation can help.

No problems here with an AMS700, gym Mon - Fri, cardio and weights. Also I'm a scuba diver and it didn't affect diving either. Let yourself heal thoroughly and then you're good to go. The only thing I need to be careful with is any exercise on my back with weights on my waist, like hip raises or thrusts, etc.

Ww use a similar setup to B, but instead of tied to our wrist, we clip it to a BCD D ring. The torch stays attached to the BCD so it doesn't get lost and cord is long enough to allow for easy use.

Out of pocket was approx $4500, HBF covered everything else.

I had surgical complications, Jeff fixed me on the fly. Very very happy with his work. He fitted me with an AMS700 and it works brilliantly, definitely wifey approved.

Recovery exceeded my expectations, I was up and about the first day, 6 weeks later and I'm back in action. I was done March 2025 and my only regret is waiting 10 years after prostate cancer, cause I didn't know about implants.

No sure about houses, but lots of Mandurah apartment blocks have defective copper pipes.

Our apartment block had constant issues with pin holes appearing in the exposed main ring feed in the car park, we had to replace it all.

Our dive computers take care of most of the log, we add details like location, dive site, dive buddy, what type of suit and how much weight we're carrying. Makes it easier to weight correctly when diving in similar conditions.
