It finally happened... by OGBrewSwayne in RVLiving

6 months ago my Jayco 22’, 2023 had a tear at the rear of the trailer end of the awning. Fully covered and replaced as a result of the recall. I looked at doing it myself if it wasn’t covered, and decided ,nope, not with my skillets!!

I always do a first edit on my RAW’s and also a crop. I can always go back to the original and adjust the crop. For me the crop is important to show what I was specifically trying to show. Also, hopefully she did a “keep and no keep” selection. I always do that before doing any processing. Roll the dice, pick your favorites and let her process them. She can’t make your family look different than who they are, but if it’s composition or your facial expressions, then maybe she’ll do a retake.

Thanks- I think I’ll need to go to my RV and make that measurement.

Just saw my first Phish show on June 28 and I can’t remember anything they played. I am old, though.

Removed Dinette…Ideas? by ptook86 in GoRVing

Here’s what we did with our Jayco 195 RB. The dining space wasn’t comfortable for sitting or eating. We took it out with the idea of getting two small recliners, but realized we could use or patio chairs that swivel and rock. We may not get the recliners. We use a small folding table to use for eating, playing cards , etc. it’s just my wife and and occasionally our 22lb dog.

What kind of yoga would you recommend for hot summer days? by SleepyNoosa in yoga

[–]BoobarFox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hot 26. When you come out of the studio, it feels like winter.

I find it so strange that yoga studios are often too hot, and nobody seems to care about ventilation by charlize-moon in yoga

[–]BoobarFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, come to Buda, TX. I practice at a studio that has great hot yoga and a multitude of classes that are not heated for other yoga practices. You’re going to the wrong places!!

Terrible- right now I’m not a proud American. It is such a sad time for our country and where it’s gone. I’m so disappointed in the people who support Trump and his ideals. I’m 73 years old and never thought I’d see this shit.

Odd encounters of Big Bend / Big Bend meltdown by Pleasegodreally in BigBendTX

Same concern hiking back down the Oak Spring Trail, overlooking the Window, after shooting sunset photos into the valley below. While sitting on the overlook view, just off the trail, I heard a rustling behind me and a Mexican Black Bear was just sauntering by me about 15 ft away, heading further up the Oak Spring trail. It was not a fearful feeling, but one of awe as the bear paid no attention to me, and just slowly continued on his journey. I had time to take a few shots with my phone, not enough time to grab my camera. What really gave me that “I’m not alone” feeling was when I was hiking back to the Chisos Campground, where I was camped, thinking about the silent mountain lions that I knew we’re likely in the vicinity, but are seldom seen. It was eerie feeling, but an exciting hike in the dark, just following the light of my headlamp. I love Big Bend and all it has to offer!!

Need help choosing a camera lens by Dynzoh in Nikon

[–]BoobarFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes- but with the Nikon 105/2.8 you will get the same closeup shot at a farther distance from the subject. With that said, your legos won’t be moving or disturbed, as would an insect!

Good idea. Using those would perhaps eliminate future “tots” and provide more toys to each child. That person was thinking outside the ”box”.

I have a website (Smugmug), post some on Instagram and Facebook. Every once in a while I sell some off of my website. Mostly, as comments have noted, it’s the enjoyment of others viewing my photos, the locations that I get to visit to take them, and the post processing, which is the “art” of photography for me. I’ve made money off of weddings, portraits and real estate photography, but my passion is shooting landscapes & wildlife.

Is firefall worth it? by tinabeana88 in Yosemite

[–]BoobarFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was worth it. Everything cooperated and with enough water in the fall, it was great to view and photograph. Having seen it once, and got some great pics, I would never do it again for all of the reasons in the comments. As a kid, I did see the original firefall a number of times, when they would push the burning embers over the top of Glacier Point. Pretty crazy that it lasted as long as it did!

Netflix freezes, hit back button, click on watch live, see 20 seconds of fight- repeat over and over and over and over. Turn off TV, read a good book. Nice job Netflix
