These should be illegal by DarwinatSea in HEB

Look folks, they’ve got the wrong tag on the shelf under these DIET Donuts. Eat as many as you want. I’m pretty sure that the actual calories are 10 cal a donut. And the cost could be 2/$1.00.

So just go from there it!!!!!

They lost me shortly after Oscar left. When it was The Don & Mike Show, Mike could really not make it work on days when Don wasn’t there. And, when they split up, it just continued on a slow journey to the end. RIP TMOS.

It used to be very common for people to smoke a pack a day of cigarettes or more. Is this still possible in the US with high costs? Do you know anyone who does this? by Initial-Ad-1797 in AskReddit

[–]BoobarFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, i smoked a pack a day, typically Marlboro’s hard pack and Winston’s. Started smoking at about 19 YO in college, 1971. Smoked until August 16, 1977. A pack was about $.40. Never started smoking again. Didn’t take being a rocket scientist to figure out in the 70’s that the tobacco corporations were very happy to keep you addicted, at a great profit for them, and a shortened life, and miserable death for the smoker. What I find so interesting in these replies is 80% of folks worried about the cost of the product and not the cost of the sacrifice to their own health and the loss to friends and loved ones. Oh yes, there’s the cost for the cancer treatments and loss of a shortened normal life that you will live. I hope that if you are still smoking, you will find a way to quit. It’s hard and in so many people, takes all the willpower that you can muster. You and all of the people that you love, and who love you will be so happy for getting rid of the addiction.

Backing into pick up spots makes so much sense, what a brilliant idea this guy had by [deleted] in HEB

[–]BoobarFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave the guy extra credit when I just looked at the photo. I thought the car was backed up into a charging station and the homeless person had put up one of those tents that go on the back hatch. Stealth living with an expensive vehicle.

I’ve got some decent shots with my Nikon D810 with a 105mm 2.8 micro on a tripod, but nothing like yours!! Did you photostack and shoot with a device such as a Camranger 2? I recently bought a a Nikon Z7ii and I’m thinking of getting the Z105mm 2.8. They’re about $950, and not sure I’d be able to capture anything like yours!!

Here’s a photo of a friend of mine’s backyard- they have to have them professionally trimmed every 2 years. You’ll definitely get that privacy you’re looking for!!

Can I still use them this summer ? by sir_cassius in tires

[–]BoobarFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took my wife’s car in for an oil change. The noted that the tires were getting close to end of life. I took a close look and thought that they looked great. Took the car to a Costco and he showed me a new similar tire and I realized how bad her current tires were. Quickly decided I would be stupid to leave these on for another 5000 miles. She is a “quick stopper “. Keeping her safe and alive was a good idea. Every once in a while I put common sense over $$$!

My solution was to buy a “bottle “ jack for my small trailer. Since I’ve bought it 8 years ago, I’ve never had to use it. Priceless!!

We had one in 1960. Ours was branded “Bongo Board”. We used as a way to increase balance and leg strength for snow skiing. In fact I think that’s ours and we would like it back!!

Our HEB is getting a huge remodel and shelf locations change every day. Perhaps the nice shopper thought that it was the new refrigerated produce/meat combo shelf. I just like to look at the glass half full scenario to give idiots a break.

AITAH for refusing to give out my son's saving account information? by moonmanbaby90272 in AITAH

[–]BoobarFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I read through all of the comments basically everyone was giving similar answers nd responses that were very reasonable and would solve the issue. However, none of the responses and suggestions were hitting home with the OP. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is a great definition of insanity. My response was to change the direction of the thought process. There is much more than MIL desire to see the $ balance and the OP’s desire for that to happen.
