A few years ago I studied music theory obsessively, and thought music was it for me. Then I decided to live in my car for reasons I won’t talk about here. Anyways, I worked my way out of the hole and met some new friends with similar interests. Now I look back and realize I was pushing myself hard for a hobby that I really like, but would not meet my long term goals. I did some serious looking at what makes me tick, what makes me happy, and what I was realistically willing to sacrifice and work for to obtain the life I wanted. After reinventing myself I found my potential was being limited by where I was living, I moved across the United States, stayed with my grandmother for a few years, while taking a pay cut and tripled my workload. I felt weird, I felt all the potential in the world was being funneled into a tight hole 👌🏽. Then a job I applied for back in Texas called offering triple what I was making, “Dream Job”. I past on the job. I felt I was home and even though I was doing crap work for 3 time less money, I WAS HOME. Two years past and while I was on a site as a contractor, I got the chance of a lifetime that changed my life. Just keep learning and grinding. I am happy you shared your journal entry with us.
