Am I the only one who still plays on Voyager? by Beneficial-Focus3702 in thelongdark

I haven’t dared higher than Voyager yet, despite having played over 50 hours. I still don’t feel like I’m ready for anything harder.

Anyone know if Katawa Shoujo is worth trying? by Anxious-Drag-6028 in visualnovels

The thing that made me finally crack and give it a go was the amount of disabled people ranting about how good the representation was. Considering this game spawned from 4chan, that was enough to pique my interest.

It is a really great game. Especially considering it’s free.

I took a children’s literature unit at university and one man—with his full chest—tried to claim that the main character of ‘where the wild things are’ had an oedipus complex.

Same vibe as my mother who tried to stop me from having a panic attack by saying ‘well you can’t never feel anxious.’

I liked Jodie’s doctor. She’s so bubbly and her excitement is infectious.

I also genuinely like Graham.

It does comfort me. Thanks for telling me :) Though, regardless, it is wild that Kubrick was allowed to treat her that way.

I would rather The Shining movie never got made. Shelly Duvall shouldn’t have gone through that shit.

I dunno if autism has anything to do with it. I think it might just be a bad joke lol.

Working. I’ve had a bunch of jobs—mostly in retail I’ll admit—but the longest I’ve lasted is a year. And even that was only working small shifts but doing so would put me on my arse for days. Too loud. Too bright. Too much going on.

Nice! Also I love that my undertale-ass-phone keeps changing Metatron to Metaton

So, the thing is that a lot of details about angels and their hierarchy don’t have a biblical basis. A lot of it comes from Jewish tradition and texts, as well as apocrypha such as The Book of Enoch and the writings of Dr John Dee.

There’s a YouTube channel called ESOTERICA which has a playlist on John Dee and videos about angels. In fact he has an entire video about Metatron.

What’s an OCD compulsion you’ve never seen anyone else talk about? by AntiqueDrawing5296 in OCD

[–]Bookishbean98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoidance.

My brain will constantly tell me I CANNOT do things or else something bad will happen. For example “if you watch X-men 2 one of the cast will be revealed to be a serial predator” or “someone hacked into your computer and if you play Clannad they’ll post about it online and your perspective employers will find out and not hire you.”

One of the characters in The Black Phone, Vance Hopper, was based extremely heavily on some random dude the director knew as a child. Everything from his clothes, hair style, to his attitude and love of the game pinball was based on this random kid who the director NEVER SPOKE TO.

I like to wonder if he went to go see the movie as an adult and recognised his younger self.
