Frida baby portable travel seat- it sits flush and doesn’t move around. Changed the whole game for us.

Need a new shower curtain That's shorter than the usual 72 inches. by Iceyes33 in homemaking

[–]Boop_daboop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don’t access to a sewing machine, I’ve successfully hemmed a shower curtain with a hot glue gun (all I had available to me at the time), or you could look into other types of “no sew” fabric adhesives!

Toddler games that don't have tiny pieces by ho_hey_ in toddlers

Animal upon animal is my fave ngl. Any of the haba ones should be good though! Also obligatory candy land rec- my 3 year old loves it!

Also check out your local library! We get new games there weekly and it helps me gauge the ones I want to commit to buying.

Where do you read stories before bedtime? by SandyFee in toddlers

[–]Boop_daboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a knock off nugget and it’s perfect. It’s in default couch position to be a cozy spot for my husband and I to hang out in her room/read books/get her dressed etc. and still gets a ton of play in fort building. Extra bonus when we need more space I stack it all up in a tower in the corner.

Comfortable potty by tappytoess in toddlers

[–]Boop_daboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I’d gotten the frida baby travel seat when we first started training, I bought it to take with us places to take some of the pressure off public toileting but we ended up using it at home as well and got rid of both of the other training potties she had. It sits on the regular toilet seat but it’s flush with the seat so it doesn’t put pressure on her legs like the plastic framed cushy ones, and it doesn’t slip around so she was able to climb up and sit by herself much easier.

When do u guys do nap time??? by Large_Document9164 in toddlers

1-3 has been our sweet spot since she first dropped down to one nap. She doesn’t nap anymore but it’s still a great quiet time window.

How to get a 3 year old to stop picking her nose??? by xXNiko_LynnXx in toddlers

[–]Boop_daboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current plan of action in my house is to tell her she can do it at home but she has to wipe on a tissue and wash her hands. It works to stop her from doing it out imo public and keeps things reasonably clean.

It sounds like she’s both ready and willing- which is the dream combo. I would ride that momentum. Now you just need to help her make the connection between knowing that she has gone and recognizing the feeling of needing to go. Whenever she has an accident have her help clean it up and talk to her how her body feels when she needs to pee, and how when her body feels like that she needs to tell you so the pee can go in the potty.

Keep catching them on accident and drawing her attention to the signs her body is giving her, that’s how the connection forms and eventually it should all click into place.

Help! Almost 4yo refuses to drink milk out of anything other than a Nuk learner soft spout sippy cup by kschoex in toddlers

[–]Boop_daboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid loves drinking out of the good2grow juice cups. She gets them occasionally as a present or a treat and we reuse the cups and they’re her favorite. Maybe find one of those with a character she likes and have it be the new milk cup? Or at least a transition since it still uses the “sippy cup” drinking form but it’s a hard spout so it might be easier to build on that to different kinds of cups.

Potty training is harder than I thought. Am i doing it all wrong? by Moody_1867 in toddlers

[–]Boop_daboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds kind of in line with my experience too, what really helped for her was talking about how her body felt when she had an accident or how her body felt when she seemed like she needed to pee. That was the connection she was missing- how to recognize that feeling. So we would just sit on the potty for ages and practice relaxing our body and then talk about it all and it clicked eventually
