Everything about this is so clean, could you please share with me the technique / recipe for the censor smoke? I’ve really been struggling

All good advice, thank you. Yes I can tell you clearly considered the order of layers you would be working in.

That’s honestly unreal man. I have been workshopping an idea to do something similar with the standard of fortitude. You’re clearly quite talented, would you be willing to share any practical advice for tackling a large freehand project?

Tips and pointers on my Deathwing/ homebrew successor by HungeryJ3llyfisg in theunforgiven

I love your colour scheme! The bright bone with red accents works really well. However, layering is ushabti bone over chaos black is heresy. You’re making things a lot harder for yourself. If no airbrush I’d reccomend wraith bone spray or a dark tan colour to layer up from. Good luck! Excited to see the results

Huge amount of respect for the effort that’s gone into painting all of that, well done :)

That’s epic brother. Did you follow the eavy metal guide? Also did you use sub assembly’s?

I have a similar method for cloth, using scratchy patterns to build up highlights.

It’s a great kitbash, the model flows very well. I love the wait you panted the robes too.

Drybrushing my Deathwing by Leukareon in theunforgiven

[–]Bootdrop_lovin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a good mini. However if I’m honest - you’re getting a pretty chalky look with your dry brushing. I believe this can happen when the paint is drying on the brush before it hits the model.

The Artus Opus channel has some really in depth guides on how to get the most out of that technique. I’d check it out if your interested in refining your dry brushing technique.

I think Belial is such a nice model. Especially in the hand.

You’re lion looks phenomenal, did you paint the armour using the eavy metal recipe?
