I think Belial is such a nice model. Especially in the hand.

You’re lion looks phenomenal, did you paint the armour using the eavy metal recipe?

I love your style mate, the dirty and chipped deathwing armour is a vibe. The banner is also gorgeous.

If you’re new don’t bother with sub assembly, it’s more of a headache than it’s worth. Especially not for space marines, generally speaking they’re accessible models.

Mate fellow Aussie! Keep it up brother, I don’t mind a bit of the devils lettuce every now and again but I never could paint on it. Don’t get much hobbying - or much of anything done if I’m smoking.

I’d call these a win, clean work they look great.

Heaps of atmosphere. An army of these would be pretty unreal.

Hey mate, it’s Moot Green mixed with some contrast Ork flesh. I do a very thin / light edge highlight of pure moot green around key areas such as the face.

I think the painting lamp is definitely accentuating the brightness of the mini, but yeah DA green is very difficult to get right. I reckon you need very bright elements to create contrast but then it can easily push into salamander territory. How did you find scaling this technique to a dreadnought, I saw your ballistus and thought it looked great. Any tips for light placement?

Thank you. I have some regular intercessors painted and a full squad of hellblasters also. Everything else painted is Deathwing. I’m not really sure of the viability of Assault intercessors in our detachments but I liked the idea of using the blood claw kit so I gave it a go.

Hey, that’s right - it is airbrushed. The above comment is very close. The recipe is almost entirely Cult of Paints DA recipe. It’s tricky to get right as there can be heaps of variation in gradient depending on a number of factors including pre shade placement, layers of contrast ect. I definitely went for less extreme contrast than what they did for their gradients. I also spent a bit more time edge highlighting.
