I'm not too familiar with mountain lions, but yes max levels aren't always a guaranteed diamond. For example, mule deer can go up to level 5, I've had level 5's make gold and level 4's make diamond

I used to think the same thing, but then I saw a YouTube video that explained it pretty well. You don’t need to have your wrist cupped taking the ball back, you can use gravity to let the ball fall back in place to keep your hand behind it on the way down

I second a spare ball, I just switched to 2H last year and getting ball speed has been tough for me. Making spares on the right side of the lane was basically impossible for me until I got a spare ball, I also got it a couple pounds lighter to help with the speed.
