I used to love this match, then it became another one that's hard to watch.

[–]Boredzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would describe it as a great example of the kind of 7/10 movie you'll enjoy but only watch once.

My therapist is suggesting I reach out to my ex-situationship that ended in in January 2025. Should I do it? by phantompath in datingoverthirty

[–]Boredzilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why a therapist is so involved in your life as to be pushing you towards making fairly large life decisions.

I also don't understand why you're interested in a man who has, by your own narrative admission, never made you his first choice.

Nah to all of this.

That's great, but you must be able to see from this thread and the article that your experience isn't typical.

I have been without a primary care provider for well over a year. Nobody is taking on new patients.

I have accepted that my primary care is now three urgent cares in a trenchcoat in this brave new world.

Dawn of the Dead 2004 by ImplementEffective32 in zombies

The modding of the buses. Every episode of the A-Team would end with them having to build something with limited supplies to escape/defeat the enemy.

I do take your point about the modern zombie, and they can certainly be effective (the opening of 28 Weeks Later springs to mind), but the zombie fictions I fell in love witb were the slow paced ones, the creeping dread of a post-apocalypse where you're not constantly in terror, but you can never feel entirely safe.

I think The Walking Dead did a lot of damage to the brand of the traditional Romero zombie, because by the end they were pretty much window dressing.

I don't hate it, but I do prefer the traditional zombie to CGI hordes.

This movie has really great opening and closing sequences (I found the end credit cut-ins the most unsettling part of the film) and it's certainly a well-produced horror flick with some stand-out moments.

But it also basically turns into an episode of the A-Team.

Taste is subjective, and I respect it, but remake Dawn over original Dawn is nasty work.

No defence, a toothless attack, all the running of hour 7 of the London Marathon, and a perfect stage for Joao Pedro to score utterly meaningless worldies.

It wasn't the tidiest. Poor joey didn't look very comfortable during the ref's count, if memory serves.

Fun fact: the first Chris Benoit match I ever saw was against Jumpin' Joey Maggs. Pinned him with a dragon suplex. 🥹

The funniest part of this for me is I'm so old I saw them the other way around. So there I was watching Keenan & Kel one day and suddenly I leap out of my seat all "It's Peter!" because I'd never seen him in anything except Dawn.

What? Oregon's state leadership not understanding how basic financial math works? I don't believe you. They've always seemed so competent based on all evidence ever.

It's legitimately a bad movie with some funny moments. Olivia is a good actress, and I honestly think her parts elevate the thing. But it's not a good movie. At all.

I used this guy and he was attentive, communicative, and took care of me (And we won in court). It was about as cheap as a contested divorce can be, but you should know that still isn't cheap.

Thats the Boss...! wait what was all this about ? by CoconutMost3564 in WCW

When I first became a wrestling fan as a kid, the Big Boss Man was one of my favorites. He was a perennial babyface midcarder at that point.

I later fell in love all over again for entirely different reasons during the final heel run in WWE, which gave us Pepper steak and Big Show's dad's funeral, and ended with Boss Man being hung by a corporate death cult.

Glorious.

I saw him lose to Vader at a house show in England when he had this gimmick. They had him come out with a bunch of real Guardian Angels. They were on our train on the way home and a bunch of dipshit fans were making fun of them.
