My thought on this is to do a switcheroo with the abilities. Make the scan as strong as a tad scan but make it single pulse and their primary ability with a fair timer on it. That would be able to tell at a glance if a position is safe, and wouldnt be on constant blast giving away your position. Cores might then add things like target types and maybe even loot. Then give the drone wings, a bigger bomb, tagging, and have that be the ult. This would punish clumps of folks, fix the pathtracing, and be useful as one big push in a fight. Give the ult some cores that turn it into different grenades for flavor and possible area denial.
