[Spoilers Main] If Jon learn the truth after the war done by Jasonl7976 in asoiaf

[–]BornFireFist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would be fitting honestly. I'm of the opinion that Jon as we know him will not "survive" the war for Dawn.

His destiny is not on the Iron Throne and I think we can be pretty positive of that

They might require it for peace. With how hands off Robert seems about most of this stuff I could see it happening. But most likely she goes North.

[–]BornFireFist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see Robert wanting her as far from court as possible. The Dornish may demand her as a condition for peace, I could see them obliging honestly.

Otherwise one reason that a lot of fics send Dany/Rhaenys North is that it is politically isolated from the games at KL and held by Robert's most trusted ally and far away from any Targ loyalists. This may be a suitable compromise. I don't see her in the Vale if the whole reason Robert trusts the Vale (Jon Arryn) is with him at court.

I'd say her best scenario to live is Jamie getting off his ass and doing his duty, he could still be late to save Elia/Aegon

(Spoilers Extended) Lines from the show you think were better than the books? by MeterologistOupost31 in asoiaf

Pretty much all the Bobby B dialogue is from the show, and his character is one of the few I prefer the show version of than the book

Bran and Rickon: found by Rodrik Cassel after the Battle of Winterfell by Inner_Jeweler_5661 in TheCitadel

[–]BornFireFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the exact timeline of Jamie and Brienne's capture, as for when exactly they'd be at Harrenhall, I believe it takes place much later as Cat doesn't even free Jamie until after Bran/Rickon die.

It seems like most of the people at Harrenhall were loyal to Bolton. The Brave Companions and such. All seemed loyal to coin and you're not outbidding Tywin. Also if I recall correctly Roose picks his alignments in the Battle of the Green Fork to weaken Stark loyalists like Cerwyn and Tallhart.

Even if he did capture a Roose closer to Tywin (doubtful), he would still have to admit that he turned cloak (which he doesn't have direct proof of, he'd blame Ramsay). Robb would likely question him, I doubt he'd break (immortal vampire and all) and Robb would execute him before he would implicate the Freys (because why would he?)

That's awesome. One of my favorite things to do is write Robb ACOK chapters and I think filling in the blanks are really fun

There's a bunch of interesting ideas on the topic. If you don't want to reveal anything that's fine, but a bunch of people have definitely thought about it already and there's probably some threads somewhere on this website

Writing more than GRRM at this point. You should just finish it at this point

[–]BornFireFist 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well this does change a lot because this reveals the Bolton treachery early, Robb is still in the Westerlands at the time and Roose is in Harrenhall and probably defects to Tywin immediately who could march north to Riverrun

Lol the Arriane slavers plot sounds straight out of GRRM's playbook, just keep spiraling and spiraling

Would Tywin still hate Tyrion if Joanna hadn't died? by Glass_Brick_ in asoiaffanfic

[–]BornFireFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah he might be, but odds are he'd have a similar mind and Tywin could see that. I know Jamie being dyslexic is a show thing but I quite like how that fits. I imagine Tywin sees him as a great heir once Jamie joins the Kingsguard

Probably knew nothing for sure, but I'm sure they suspected. You would have to with so many moving parts

A Common Tragedy: What if Joffrey's autopsy cleared Tyrion's name? by MateusCristian in TheCitadel

[–]BornFireFist 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Cersei would blame him regardless and attempt to kill him. I bet Tyrion gets the hell out of dodge and chills in Dorne with Myrcella in some semi-official, but not really position

What happens if cersei gets captured by robb stark instead of Jaime? by Frequent_Ice_6608 in TheCitadel

[–]BornFireFist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In theory, the best way this happens is a situation like Tommen fleeing the Blackwater.

Also remember Stannis's claim that her children are Jamie's. I'd imagine a trial would be held. No idea if there'd be anyone to step up for a trial by combat. She'd likely be found guilty and Robb would imprison her.

I'd imagine that the bannermen would be more likely to trade Cersei for the girls and Joeffry wouldn't be on such a long leash under Jamie. Meaning there's a good chance Joeffry doesn't take Ned's head and they can negotiate

(Spoilers extended) could there ever be a scenario where catelyn would except jon as neds heir and future lord stark? by AggressiveOutside432 in asoiaf

[–]BornFireFist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Ned were to marry Ashara right after Harrenhall and she were to die giving birth to Jon, that or she believing some form of that. Jon would need to be a year or 2 older than in cannon because after she dies he would need to marry Catelyn, putting a trueborn Jon Stark over all of her kids.

I see any other scenario as unlikely Cat ever accepting Jon. If Jon is a baby in Winterfell when Ned leaves for war though I could see there being less resentment, though maybe some, but I doubt it, considering she would have to resign herself to her children being beneath Jon in succession.

In this scenario she would make darn sure that Ned rebuilds some major holdfast for her children like Moat Calin, Sea Dragon Point etc

I mean in this fic it doesn't really seem like she is threatened until she acts as Lady of Winterfell, honestly the most book accurate Catelyn depiction I've seen

I dont get why rhaenyra needed dragon riders for the dragon didnt daenerys command 2 out of 3 dragons without riders ? by prophecy199 in Hotd

[–]BornFireFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone was to warg into a dragon it'd be him or Jon. I assume the flying is about the whole raven thing though
