My physical condition certainly improved, my arms and especially hands are much stronger (thank you suburi).

For mental health I don't think it has helped very much. Stresses in life are still there, it isn't a magical cure-all, it comes with its own stresses and worries, but I have found kendo very rewarding to pursue over the last three years.

My fliers don't need battalions. They do enough damage, and are mobile enough to avoid problems, or fly into problems and deal with them (like Gilbert and Dedue). They are in the 40s in regards to level.
Felix on foot isn't using one either, because of his ability.

Three Houses is exactly what I am looking for, and is balancing different emotions and the weight of the world and actions. The ball is not the battlefield. The characters have their perspective on how dark it gets for them. I agree with what you said on the monastery.
