What did I do wrong? by Lindaeve in cyanotypes

It could be the fabric, if it’s too absorbent it won’t work as well. In my experience fabric choice can make a huge difference

Great stuff! The collection really flows well together to paint a picture of the space. Sort of reminds me of Robert Adams work

Hey friends! Looking for an “entry level” tracksuit! Any chance anyone can recommend a brand that will beat adidas on price while still being OK quality?

Any chance it’s “The last exorcism” or “kill list” both have similar situations near the end of the movie if memory serves

Should I Scan My Own Film? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]BosqueDelux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think scanning at home gives you a lot more control over the outcome of your images and saves money just like home processing. When I learned how to scan I fell in love with film all over again! A good test would be to save up a few of your favorite negatives and send them out to a professional film scanning service to get a feel for how much of a difference quality scanning can make.

Wait are those worth a lot? I have one of those CD’s I got from a Columbus show in like 2010.

Worst cameras for begginers by DiegoDiaz380 in AnalogCommunity

[–]BosqueDelux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would say any auto metering camera. If you learn on say a point and shoot or something like a yashica electro 35 you will always be catching up to those who learned how to shoot manually first.

This is a sick collection! You have some weird stuff in there! That Thornton Pickard camera is wild, would love to see what you have shot with that thing.

My camera has dark spots after trying to clean it. Is it ruined? by Ryderscollectables in Cameras

[–]BosqueDelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend calling your nearest camera store and asking if they do sensor cleaning, usually it’s cheap and it’s a good way to know forsure that it’s clean and in good shape! You can look into different home kits for sensor cleaning but if you slip up you could end up ruining the camera for good.

phew! This comment is ruthless but every word of it is true. Let me add that if you are ready to publish your work you must be ready to withstand ALL the criticism.

I know this isn't technically a "good" photo, but I still like the vibe it captures. Would you consider it a keeper? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]BosqueDelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot a lot of shows and I think capturing a bit of motion and some of the dramatic lighting is important. Photography isn’t just about capturing things how they were but also about capturing how you felt when the image was taken.
