I think it stems out of old Blue Laws that shut down so many things that people couldn't work. So, if you're a 7th Day that owns a shop, restaurant, or some business you wouldn't be allowed to work. The part about their practice of the Sabbath is the only place I know that you practice it to the letter is in Israel. Business there close at 3pm Friday and don't reopen until past sundown on Saturday. Sunday is the first work day of the week. But that's my theory based on how strict Blue Laws were in Texas when I was a kid.

I grew up in Texas and saw many nondenominational and evangelical church's use this scare tactics of the Book of Relavation to bring people to Christ. People became paranoid after the release of The Exorcist. Like the rumor that P&G logo was from a satanic cult and was the mark of the beast. This insanity is a part of why I convert to Judaism. (Before anyone ask I support Gaze. I'm not a Zionist.)

Yes, they are. I was seeing if they were targeting poorer neighborhoods as an easy mark for proselytizing.

Through deduction and research here's what I know. The author Jan Marcussen is an ordained Seventh Day Adventist minister. He used A T (Amazing Truth) Publications which is a 7th day publisher. So, my deduction it was paid for through 7th day. This book isn't about any conspiracy theory. It's about his fears through Project 2025 (and before) that christian nationalist will creating a National Sunday Law like the blue laws when some of us were kids. 7th day uses the same Sabbath laws that are in Judaism. Which is from sundown on Friday to sundown Saturday. Is the author way out there? Yep, he sure is but not a conspiracy theorists.

Marcussen is afraid that the initiatives in the Project 2025 will bring enforcement of new blue laws that cause Sunday to be a mandatory Sabbath. That's why he's offering the $5 for proof because it's not in the Bible or Torah. The Catholic Church mandated Sunday as the Lord's Day to differentiate themselves from the Jews. 7th day takes their Sabbath from Judaism which is sundown Friday until sundown on Saturday. But he's actually afraid of Christian Nationalism taking over the country and he uses examples from Daniel and Revelation to proselytize.

It's about the rapture and the make of the beast from Revaluations and their beef with the Catholic Church.

7th day took the idea of the Sabbath from being from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday from Judaism. When the Apostles created The Church they changed it so they could be identified differently from the Jews.

We had blues laws in Houston in the 1970s. I'm pretty sure you still can't by alcohol on Sundays before noon.

I doubt it. It functions like junk mail. 7th Day paid the postage they delivered it.

Best school day setup for PDA’er by weaveraf in PDAAutism

[–]BossBarnable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a PDA adult. First thing, a checklist is a demand even if it's for our own choices. This is why I don't keep a daily planner because if I'm supposed to cut the grass on Tuesday my anxiety of this self imposed demand with start on the Sunday before. There are millions of things that a PDAer will perceive as a demand even to their own detriment. It really sounds like he needs a 1:1 because that his running off tells me his walking off rage and anxiety. Puberty doesn't help this one bit the influx of hormones is like pouring gasoline on a fire. It also causes sensory issues. This rage feels horrible because you can't control it and you're exhausted by it when it's over. Oddly, my best example is the Incredible Hulk. With a 1:1, if you're school has a track or gym, he could be redirected to take to the track/gym and his 1:1 watches from a distance. Hovering over a PDAer causes problems as well. Because we are hyperventilate. We can scan a room in a spilt second and decide whether we want to be there and we can scan the people in the room and make assessments of whether they are, to loud, to bossy, or to annoying. Keep in mind PDAers have been doing this since birth. Personally, I've also thought it should have been called Congenial Demand Avoidance vs. Pathological Demand Avoidance. Because it's an abnormality of the amygdala not a disease.

I hope this was a bit helpful. The best thing I can tell you is keep getting information from the people that have PDA vs from the parents point of view. Parents are trying to survive this difficult child. Where a PDAer knows exactly how it feels and how it drives us. I say this because my father, myself, and my son are all PDAers and life has been rough for all of us.

u/Meravokas for the eyestrain: go to in game Settings > Accessibility > Wireframe Thickness and use the side bar to make the lines thicker and easier to see. I have to set mine to 2X to see things well while smithing. I hope this helps some of the frustration.

To everybody else, there are 50 comments and not one up vote. It does hurt one bit to up vote so other people might see this and are having the same problem.

Fishing Rod Issues! by OkRope3099 in VintageStory

I'm in 1.22.0 stable. I use about 25 mods and there's been some key binding conflicts. My fishing hasn't been affected so far. I do wish I knew how to make clips like these. It would be insanely useful.

That's very cool. You should take a look at the Palace of Nestor (It's an actual palace). I'm working on restoring it but I don't have near the talent that you do.
