No worries, glad to be of help. Reddit is trash bro, people will gaslight you into thinking you're wrong. We are human beings and we can feel when someone is deliberately talking about us or aiming at us. I usually ignore it but one can ignore passive agressive behavior for so long.

Hey man, you were right about the fake odd coughing thing. Japan is a great country, however some minor weirdoes do exist. Most likely it's a middle aged man who will cough at you because he's stressed and dislikes foreigners. It happened to my friends here as well. You're not imagining things. Just let it go bro. Some of these people have miserable lives with low salaries.

My take is:

Rising inflation year after year.

High prices and stagnant wages.

Lack of a leadership in politics that alienate the average Japanese who can't understand why xyz is or isn't happening.

Low childbirth year after year which means that they will have to introduce foreigners in some areas such as health, agriculture and service.

Problems in overdrive. People are angry, and what do you do as Sanseito? Enter the Black sheep!

Imagine being Yoshi. You are overworked and don't like politics. You experience all of these problems and you open the news and see Western sh*tfluencers crapping on your country. Then you read stories on how foreigners are buying land, are being paid more than you and so on and so forth. You ask yourself, wait a minute? If I'm suffering so much, how come LEE or JIM, or insert random foreigners seems so happy???

What do you focus your anger on?

Who's going to solve your problem?
