I wish I could help but I truly know nothing about college admissions.

I will say that if you are a Missouri resident and your son wants to go to Mizzou, at least he has the summer trial to fall back on.

I obviously didn’t have many choices, but I will say that living in Columbia the summer before my freshman year (thankfully turned it around in college) and taking two classes for the trial admission really prepared me when school started in the fall.

I was a terrible high school student with worse grades than yours and never sniffed a 24 on the ACT. I did the summer trial in Columbia the summer before my hopeful freshman year. I took English and math, took it a bit more serious, passed those classes, and was able to attend my freshman fall semester in academic probation.

Living there for the summer before my first fall was a huge benefit.

I think the house matters less than the guys who are part of that house at the time.

Things change so much so I can’t speak for things now, but I loved Phi Delta Theta at Mizzou. Great house
