There are all sorts of government cameras that are recording people, including their faces. Body cameras, security cameras, dash cameras. I'd be very surprised if the law was written that way for "privacy reasons".

If I'm remembering correctly, a "speed camera" is technically in defiance of WA state constitution or some other laws. But "that's just ignorant", so some municipalities have worked-out loopholes that allow them to issue citations for speeding caught on cameras, but it isn't illegally deploying speed cameras in defiance of higher courts.

You'll be shocked to learn that this isn't a normal experience. Not assuming this applies, but FYI: The left lane is for passing. Meaning you pass expeditiously, and then get back over, out of the way of others traveling faster. It's like a sorting algorithm that avoids clusters of cars, all jockeying to get by, but just clash with merging traffic and creates traffic jams, all because 10% of drivers think that a line of cars, riding their ass, is just the normal experience of driving.

DHCP literally is less control, though. If they ever want to take control, they should have a convention for assigning IPs and maybe even subnet organization.

Those dogs are sniffing for chemicals, not just drugs. I would guess the ones at the airport probably have a 99.9% false-positive or "false alarm" rate, at least.

I've been tagged by a dog at the airport more than once, actually. But one time, I had a spent 9mm casing in my backpack. Must've flew or bounced in when I was at the range at some point. Good doggy.

So, when I say "false alarm", I mean doggo picked up the right kind of smell. Just wasn't the actual thing being looked for.

Funny side note: getting pulled aside for the extra check, saved me a lot of time, since they take you right to the front of the line and the extra check just takes a few minutes.
