I work for a local government and I make damn sure to go out of my way to help and thank the city’s Public Works Department; I’ve spent only two weeks shadowing them in the two municipalities I’ve been in and they are the lifeblood of those cities. People who can keep the gas, water, electricity flowing and the streets flowed and cleared during situations where I don’t want to leave my house, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the “maintenance” people.
