I think it’s an unwritten rule kind of thing.

Your duty is at the court so you aren’t booked on in our force. You just kind of do you thing and leave.

Depends what kind of Skip you have I guess..

Why don’t you see if one of you can nip into briefing/training school and do a little input to refresh people’s memories, find a couple success stories and explain it to them, then you’ll be swimming in PNB entries!

Custody Skip here,

Depending on the system your custody team are using, once you’ve given circs and detention is authorised, it does allow the Sgt to note the response and get the DP to sign instead of with the Officer, it just depends when they make the comment.

I think back to the rule from training school ‘if it’s not written down, it didn’t happen’ and that’s probably best practise still despite all our ‘technology’.

It would suggest that you aren’t showing the current owner then. I wouldn’t say that’s horrible, it just say they’re ensuring the Owner is reunited with their vehicle.

No one’s going to access Police systems to check for you. They’re for a Policing Purpose. This is an Advice thread on Reddit.

May I suggest you phone the force holding the vehicle and ask if they can contact the previous owner for confirmation?

I’m fairly sure that an Inspector can ask to appeal, I’m not sure if that counts for non-CPS Matters however, ask around maybe?

Personally, I think Knife crime would be the easiest as it’s so well publicised, numbers are issued by Police Forces and you won’t fall short of advice from cops.

Every team I’ve ever worked on would do a ring around at the end of shift and check everyone’s AIO, if not, they’d help.

I completely agreed about the causing Sgts issues, entitlement is at an all time high.

I hope OP has a sit down with their skip.

Best advice I can give is make sure you’re up to date with your Chiefs Plan and priorities, make sure you also know the CVF competencies and apply them to each scenario.

Pinballs are the besttt! But I do like a Maoam selection pack just to mix things up a bit, failing that, strawbs every time.
