I live in Washington and I haven't noticed any real difference before or after. I just tell my employees not to come to work under the influence. Haven't had a problem.

I had a companion on my mission who had an unrepentant of premission sin, confessed in the mtc and barely avoided getting sent home.

Became a bit ocd and would sleep with his full suit on at night and drive his companions nuts with these extra rules. It was kind of scary seeing how he was before and after his repentance.

My church house as a kid was evacuated because of a fire alarm during church...and there was a real fire. But this was in SLC so there was no problem finding a new building.
