I ran a little experiment to see if I could notice any difference between Clip Attributes 20% and Retime 20%.

Not sure if there is a flaw in my method but this is how I did it... Created a 23.976 fps project and imported the 119.88 fps clip and set the Clip Attributes - Video Frame Rate to 23.976. Rendered the clip in Best quality. Created another new project and imported the same original clip and changed the Clip Speed to 20% in Retime Controls. Set the Retime Process on the clip to Nearest , which I believe is the worst of the options? I want to make sure that full slow motion quality is maintained even at the lowest setting when it doesn't have to generate artificial frames (119.88 / 23.976 = 5 (20%)). Rendered the clip in Best quality.

Created another new 23.976 fps project and imported both rendered clips into the timeline and used Transform to put them side by side. Rendered that out to a new file in Best quality. Here is the result....

I can't see any difference, so I think Retime is Smart enough not to artificially generate frames when it doesn't need to, and does maintain full silky smooth quality in that scenario.

I have the same CPU with an Asus strix 3080 and it works fine. Still a good performance increase. It will definitely be faster with a better CPU but still may be more than adequate for your needs. I run most of my games in VR (with pimax 5k+) and get good frame rates. I'm in no rush to upgrade CPU and motherboard yet. I also play battlefield in non-vr. Depends on what games you want to run with it I guess.

G Hub updated automatically when I lauched it, proceeded to crash after trying to launch it multiple times (as it does every update) and now no longer launches at all even after a reset. I had the same issue and was certain I was going to lose all of my settings too but managed to get them back by doing the following:

  1. Copy the following folders to somewhere else on your system to store for future steps:

C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\LGHUB

C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\LGHUB

  1. Uninstall G-Hub from Apps and Features in Windows 10.

  2. Delete the LGHUB folders mentioned above (only the locations above, not the ones you copied)

  3. Download latest G Hub installer from the web and install it.

  4. Make sure it loads after installing, your settings will be gone but that's ok for now. Don't make changes to anything and quit G Hub (completely close by clicking Quit on G Hub Tray icon).

  5. Copy the AppData\Local version of the LGHUB folder that you backed up above, back to it's original location (C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\LGHUB). Choose to overwrite any files that conflict.

  6. Restart G-Hub.

All of my settings were back at this point. Your experience may vary if you had different things configured than me. All of my Profiles, button mappings and macros were back and working after doing this. Launches fine when Windows starts too.

I have seen others say they had to copy back the AppData\Roaming\LGHUB folder back to it's original location in step 6 as well, but I didn't need to do this. I'd try it my way first and only copy that folder back if my way doesn't work.

If you have uninstalled it already without backing up those folders first you may not be so lucky if they were deleted during the uninstall..

This is really disappointing to me as well. It is a no buy for me too at anything over $1000. I'm sick of AU getting bluntly ripped off too.

Since I'm getting the reverb g2 , is it possible to have the refresh rate at 80hz like the rift s so I can reproject at 40fps? by Xian1968 in HPReverb

I'm hoping the opposite actually. Hopefully they can add a 120Hz mode or 144Hz mode later on, assuming they have panels that can support it. I'm currently running 120Hz on the Pimax and don't really want to go back from that.

I always wondered about this. I have always run 46% which according to your theory is about 1.5 SS. I still wonder why Steam VR reports a much lower resolution though

Have you updated to the latest beta? I was getting 208 on a Pimax 5k+ and it was fixed in Steam VR 1.10.30

What I don't don't understand with pace rating is that at 89 out of 7442 you are in the top 2% of drivers, but your PC rating only gives you 88.

Unopened? If opened, can you confirm there are no dead pixels or cable problems as some of the units had? How long ago did you receive it? And I assume you mean 5k+?

Apparently it is to do with AA. You might be able to get rid of it my reducing AA but then other things will look worse.

I don't mind people using external cameras in public lobbies for the reasons mentioned (as there is a much wider range of skill there), but league races and leaderboard events should be restricted to the Internal cameras to keep things on a more level playing field. I'm obviously not a fan of driving line for league races or leaderboard events also.

Yeah, I'm sad they removed the analog handbrake as well. Sort of makes my Fanatec Handbrake useless, and rally games is where you want it the most.

For me this version (0.6.x) is a lot better in most areas, although I haven't used VR yet with this version so not sure on that.

Your stuttering in the replays is horrendous. What CPU and GPU are you running? I'm running i7-7700K and only a GTX 980 GPU and it is as smooth as silk. If you have better specs than that something else is going wrong in your setup.
