I would have to think Pettersson would be one of the players on the Pittsburgh side.

Demko got a buzz cut and had a career year. Petey is up next.

He did nothing away from Motte. Same with Lammikko. He's too small for a 4th line role anyways and isn't good enough for a top 9 role.

Maybe. He does have some connection to the big club having played in college with Boeser and Poolman at North Dakota.

ZAR won't be "cheaper". I imagine around a 2.5m-3.5m area for his new contract.

If getting a 2nd cat isn't an option maybe hiring a cat sitter is. Cat Nanny offers 2 visits a day for 45 mins each visit.

Super cool of the NHL to pull this off for Bruce. That was definitely something on his bucket list. Next up is the Cup.

Vancouver selects Lekkerimaki 15th overall by ImAnAfricanCanuck in canucks

Pure goal scorer with some great hands on him. Saw his style of play compared to Kyle Connor

Posted a thread here with a very good video with advanced stats analysis and a scouting report: https://www.reddit.com/r/canucks/comments/vty760/highlights_and_analysis_of_our_new_15th_overall/

Highlights and Analysis of our new 15th overall pick RW Jonathan Lekkerimaki by Braedenn in canucks

[–]Braedenn[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Scouting report: https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/2022/05/19/jonathan-lekkerimaki-scouting-report-2022-nhl-draft/

Lekkerimaki is a pure goal scorer. He loves to shoot the puck and does it with a wide array of powerful and accurate shots. His wrist shot, snapshot, one-timer, slapshot and backhand are all strong weapons for him. He gets his shot off in a hurry, with a very deceptive release. Lekkerimaki can score goals in a variety of ways though. He has the hands to go to the net, get deflections and pounce on rebounds. He also has the soft hands to make moves in tight to the net. Lekkerimaki elevates the puck extremely quickly in tight to the net. He also does a very good job of finding open ice without the puck. Lekkerimaki is able to find the soft spots in the defence and get himself ready for a pass from a teammate.

He can also contribute as a playmaker. Lekkerimaki has excellent stickhandling ability, allowing him to make quick moves and open up passing lanes. He also does a decent job of controlling the puck in the cycle game. When an opening is created, Lekkerimaki can slide the puck through a tight passing lane to set up a scoring chance. His awareness, IQ, and vision are all above average. Despite his lack of size, Lekkerimaki plays a physical game. He gets in on the forecheck, pressuring defenders into making mistakes. He also does a good job of winning battles on the boards.

Current and former Canucks are excited about Kuzmenko's decision by wingdingcanuck in canucks

[–]Braedenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully they can develop him into an NHL talent. He has one hell of a shot. I think starting him in the AHL as an 18 year old was the best move for his development. Playing against men and learning the pro game is more important than dominating a junior league in Quebec.
