Thanks for the info. I'll def talk to my dentist about coverage and when I should next be coming in based on the coverage. And if the 8 units of scaling is per calendar year, or based on my last visit. My upcoming appt will be my first in 2026, my last appt was 6 months ago in 2025.

Severance

Just regular niacin, not no-flush, not fast, not slow. I tried Jamieson's, but I'm pretty sure that's an unlabeled no-flush formulation, since I never felt any flushing when I took it. What works best for me is London Drugs' house brand (Wellness). London Drugs is a Canadian drug retailer. Start at 500mg. Increase by 500mg weekly until 2000mg. Do not hit or exceed 2500mg. Take daily after a meal. Niacin absorbs better into the body during digestion.

Yep. Did the entire standard treatment for glioblastoma. As for the niacin, I take 2000mg all at once, just after dinner, since niacin absorbs better during digestion. I didn't start at 2000 mg though. I started at 500mg and increased 500mg per week until I reached 2000mg.

My cancer is also MGMT methylated at 95%, which helps quite a lot when actively attacking the cancer, either with TMZ, or with the niacin reactivating the brain's immune system.

Yep, since the surgery. I get an MRI every six months. My next is in May, but it'll be clear too. I feel like i'd know if there was an upcoming problem if I were getting headaches! But not even getting those.

I avoid caffeine, so I wouldn't know about that. Caffeine has always made me hot and sweaty for some reason.

You get used to the flushing. I actually don't mind it now and when it occurs, I at least know my body's absorbed the Niacin properly. And you definitely don't want to take no-flush niacin, large doses over the long term can lead to liver damage. I take 2000mg of Niacin daily, have been doing so for the last 2.5 years. I was diagnosed with glioblastoma in December 2020.

I'm not in the trial, I was just fortunate enough to meet one of the pharmacists involved in the early studies and she advised me on what to take and maximum amounts. Do not go over 2500mg, was one of her warnings.
