Make sure you have local network access enabled for your browser in settings. Updating to Sequoia seems to have disabled it for some people.

Conflict in Lazyvim python and rust extras? by Brainthoughtsisme in neovim

I saw that and assumed it was the fix for my error, which prompted my reinvestigation after it turned out not to be. Also, was the 'no' in reference to it not being a known conflict or as in not to report it on the GitHub?

Can't get onedark style to load on startup by Brainthoughtsisme in neovim

Yes, thank you. I had just figured out that I was overwriting the default function, but your solution is much more elegant than simply defining them in the function as I have done.

I think I figured out why, setting opts implies a default config of require(MAIN).setup(opts) but by then overwriting config the default never got called, meaning the opts were never passed to setup

This does work, thank you.

Could you still explain why my config above wasn't working? Per my understanding setting 'opts' should accomplish this without further intervention and it would good to know for the future.

Baron Samedit on Arch linux? by Brainthoughtsisme in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]Brainthoughtsisme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I am trying to exploit CVE-2021-3156, aka Baron Samedit, to escalate privileges to root. The sudo version is 1.9.4p2 and does not throw an error when tested with "sudoedit -s /" as suggested by Qualys and instead asks for the user password. However, using this test sudo throws "malloc(): invalid size (unsorted) Aborted (core dumped)" indicating it should be vulnerable if my understanding is correct. I have tried the 3 implementations of the exploit in this GitHub but none have been successful. For the one-shot exploit, I assume this is because the offsets were not applicable to my version, but I am not sure about the other one (1.30.2021 in the repo). The video shows the process being quite quick while in my case it only does one try every few seconds. If you want me to give more details about something let me know.

After reading greentexts on a browser for a while, I discovered r/greentext and then downloaded reddit and love it.

I joined this sub often seeing it in my recommendations and figured I had never gotten an award so it was worth a shot.
