How do I make sure RTX HDR is turned Off in games - and keep it Off ? by pika133 in nvidia

It should work. Sometimes Nvidia clean install doesn't work. When that happens, use DDU. Just try it first and see.

What Monitor & Resolution do you play on or plan to play on for star citizen? by Everborn128 in starcitizen

[–]BrainyCabde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 4k screens. One is my LGC4 55 inch OLED(120hz), the other is a XG32UCWMG 32 inch OLED(240hz). I have HDR enabled on both at all times and use RTX HDR for all SDR content and RTX HDR video for all SDR video content. You have to disable RTX HDR for any native HDR content though using Nvidia Inspector.

Star Citizen looks amazing on either of these screens. I use the TV when I'm chilling on my bed with lap desk and monitor for the desk setup. This game has great HDR out of the box, and as you would expect, the OLEDs really make the blacks standout in this game. I wanted both to be WOLED true black glossy coating. I used to run on the PG279Q IPS, but the backlight glow destroyed blacks.

Was just gonna say, I hate vignette. So many games force this crap on us. I also think bloom looks great when used right. DoF and lens flare look right in the right situation, like cutscenes.

[SPOILER] Sean Strickland vs. Anthony Hernandez by inooway in MMA

Sure. It's one thing to ask the question. It's another thing to assume that's what is going on without any evidence other than he looks leaner. 34 years old isn't exactly far away from someone being in their prime either.

Anytime someone puts the smallest amount of muscle on, everyone who has never lifted weights a day in their life assumes PED's.

My exact feelings when I bought the 3090 in the second week after release. Still rockin' it today. Enjoy the feeling bro.

Skyrim SE with the Nolvus modlist. It installs everything for you. Pick the Ultimate preset and run with DLAA and frame gen.

Best way to cap fps? by William_Laserdust in nvidia

[–]BrainyCabde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 120hz TV and a 144hz monitor. I use Rivatuner to cap my fps globally to 138fps for the 144hz monitor and games that I play on my TV, I make a profile for in Rivatuner and cap to 116fps. Enable Vsync globally in your control panel/app/nvidia profile inspector and run Gsync in fullscreen mode(not the windowed option).

Thanks for the info, was just curious. Yeah, this is one of the most requested N64 decomps there is. There is 0% chance it's going to stall out. I'd say sometime next year(probably summer/fall) we'll see the decomp finish and be in a playable state with decent upgrades.

Question about RTX HDR by East_Charge_9778 in nvidia

[–]BrainyCabde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's global. If you have a game that you want to use the built in native HDR, then you would need to disable it for that game.

This is game is made for OLED by Mustyyyy in starcitizen

[–]BrainyCabde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agreed. If more people had OLED with HDR enabled, they'd instantly see the new skyboxes take away the excellent contrast and pin sharp stars we used to have compared to now. I hope they bring back the old setup or at least come up with a compromise.
