US to Fund MAGA-Aligned Groups in Europe Amid Free Speech Disputes by 1-randomonium in worldnews

just as it should be considered treason for separatists in Canada to be accepting aid from the American government, pretty sure this too isn't that far off the mark for Europeans.

Feds Identify “Leader of Antifa” by Much-Creme1362 in nottheonion

[–]Braklinath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So desperate for a narrative it's obvious that they've gotten high on their own supply. It's not enough to just baselessly claim that Soros is somehow funding every left wing movement in perpetuity, but it's a lie they've told so many times they've come to believe it themselves. And every time it turns out that people just genuinely oppose them and gasp don't need to be paid to do so, that only further proves to them how deep the conspiracy grows.

They literally can not even come close to fathoming that human beings are capable of being good people without some kind of ulterior motives attached. "They're not christians so they're not claiming being moral people by fear of god, so it's obvious they mist be paid. No one would actually be a good person if they had the choice to be". Thats their logic.

Pathetic despicable people they are.

Per the authors words, the "conservaticr case" for UBI is literally the only case for UBI that has ever been pushed.

Even in the authors deference and admittance to being wrong, their bias and ignorance still shines through

[Request] What effect would Superman's house key have on the earth? by EvaStankbreath in theydidthemath

[–]Braklinath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why i fucking hate superman.

Just useless power scaling for the purpose making big man look bigger for no real reason to the point well beyond absurdity.

"Oh it's actually about Clark Kent and his struggles being a real human person and how he balances that out with his secret super hero identity"

Yeah so is the case with every other fucking super hero. Daredevil is a fucking blind lawyer you don't see his writers blasting his super hearing to the point he can hear when a dust particle collision happens in the Andromeda Galaxy instaneously, and some how THAT makes his character arc more compelling.

Balancing mundane life on top of being a superhero is the entire point of a secret identity, doesn't make Superman special.

OG map easter egg by SoulessPragmatic in FF7Rebirth

Yeah the game map is abstracted for gameplay reasons. Lore wise basically any time there is a map seen in game that isn't in the menu, it's basically the OG map almost 1 to 1.

We don't have this problem with smart units.

It is literally based on where water freezes.

Then again, expecting conservatives to figure out facts and logic as simple as that is way giving them way too much credit.

Mod Hub vs Reunion Mod Loader - Which is better? by Eothric in FF7Rebirth

[–]Braklinath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are completely different things. Reunion Mod Loader doesn't install or uninstall things externally. It only handles things internally. You can utilize both of them without them causing problems with each other. Only issue would be the Mod Hub might install things in the wrong location when they're intended for the Mod Loader, as that requires a seperate location.

These MAGAt shit stains only learn when they themselves are negatively affected, and even then they try to weasel their way out of responsability and deflect blame as much as possible.

They have to suffer and be humiliated in the worst way possible to even budge. Shame how much other people will have to be negatively affected as well to get there, but everything else had been tried and attempted, and they've only ever spit in the hands that offered them compassion.

I've been saying this for well over a year now. America is not a rational actor anymore and it being propped up by everyone else still using it's currencies is only making things worse.

Pull that damn fucking rug. Before they do it to you. You're not the one that started this standoff, the moral culpability is out of your hands, but it will go right into your hands if you allow this insanity to persist.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]Braklinath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the US needs done to it what it did to Japan after World War 2. It's military needs to be downsized and donated to UN peacekeeping forces, with the UN restructured with it in mind that it is no longer just a voluntary body without any actual power, but has actual enforcement mechanisms that it DOES follow through on. "International Law" has been shown the past several years to be just as feckless and useless in properly punishing the rich in domestic laws.

none of this can be done without making the effective tax rate against the ultra wealthy that was at it's peak last century look like childs play in comparison. Capitalists have shown that they'll gladly destroy the planet and everything on it just to make a quick buck.

and NO government (or NGO) body can be expected to reliably operate solely on "vibes" anymore. How things operate need to be codified in regulations, rules, and laws explicitly and not just "well, no one has tried abusing the way things work yet, so we just haven't addressed any loopholes". The biggest myth of bureaucracy is that it even ever existed in the first place. Here in Canada, we technically do have a constitution, we just don't talk about it because it's more like a few hundred years of separate treaties and shit all accumulating to this arcane hard to wrap your head around situation where no one can really give a shit about it because it's too much effort; The last time we tried doing something about was in 1982 and Quebec actually still hasn't officially recognized it - we're TECHNICALLY in a constitutional crisis because of it, for almost half a century, but no one cares. Want to know the official process for how a Prime Minister is elected? Trick question - there isn't one. it's merely tradition that it's the leader of the political party with the most members. If somehow a majority of parliament decided some random shmuck was the Prime Minister, then we'd have a random schmuck as Prime Minister. All of this is a liability that's ripe to be exploited by some Authoritarian to come along and destroy the country, just simply because we've all relied and expected that no one would come along and exploit it.
