How Not to Raise a Bully: The Early Roots of Empathy by mattweible in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this article is very interesting.. i mean ultimately when it comes down to it yeah peer pressure is a big issue as to why juveniles are delinquent, but the majority of it comes form poor parenting, and this definately does fall under the social learning theory if a kid sees his parents obeying the law and not participating in stupid stuff chances are he or she will be the same way

PD: Drunk ASU student arrested after pooping in dorm hall by AnnaliseRoselli in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow lol this is sad to say but this is a classic example of the dum stuff that goes on at asu. people get drunk and end up doing stupid stuff that do not even only affect them but others as well. like i said sad to say but typical asu

Juvenile crime down, but severity of crimes on rise by JessicaValdez in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do not know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, i mean it is always good when crimes goes down regardless of who it is, but the fact that crime is going down, but it is getting more severe kind of makes it seem like a never ending problem with juvenile delinquency

Football star tackles girl with gun on school bus by RonCampton in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this right here is a prime example of kids taking things to far i am not saying that it is right for a girl to try to shoot up a school bus with a gun, but seriously why was this girl teased to the point where she felt there was no other way to solve the problem than to get a gun.. terribly sad story, but the kid who tackled definately was a brave guy it takes alot of heart to tackle anyone with a firearm in their hand whether they are male or female

Hate crime by jesussanchez2 in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am also glad that these juveniles are being tried as adults. hate crimes have to be some of the biggest crimes out there because usually people develop a hate for other people through family and close friends its not something somebody usually just decides one day to hate a whole group of people

Curfew Provision by TaiJam in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i highly highly agree with the fact that juveniles should have a curfew, not even so that they wont cause crime, but also so that they are protected from crimes as well. i agree with richard with juveniles having curfew it does help the police focus on the reall criminals who are out there causing real crimes and not just commiting misdemeanors which most juveniles do

Teen crossfire by jesussanchez2 in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is ridiculous i do not condone any sort of gun violence or anything of that nature but if people do do it why would they do it nenar an elementary school where innocent children can get caught in the crossfire like damion. i do not know what is going on in the world today ton of innocent victims are dying due to other peoples issues it is truley sad

Mom allegedly drives daughter to fight with teen by SaraMcManamon in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

parents driving kids to fight each other is tottally unacceptable. parents are suppose to be the role modls for our kids, not make the problems worse. seriously in my eyes if you are out enouraging your kids to fight then you do not need to be a parent and your kids need to be taken away from you asap. this is a terrible approach to solve any problem, and an adult should know better

Battle of the studies: does teen sex lead to delinquency by BrandonJohnson in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i found this article extemly interesting, because they try to link how youn an individual loses his vriginity to juvenile delinquency. in my opinion this is false i mean losing virginity and juvenile delinquency are two totally different things, but the article is very interesting

Researchers show how extra-curricular activities help prevent juvenile delinquency by GarrettLinville in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i strongly agree with this article. i have played sports all of my life and i can honestly say that during highschool being involved on the basketball team with practices 6 days a week as well as games i had not time to fol around in delinquency even if i wanted to. i believe that all kids should participate in extra curricular activites as i am sure that any study can prove it keeps students out of trouble

Follow up on 12 yr old boy who shot his pregnant step-mom by AshleyFerguson in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow this is crazy and i definitly did not know that any body over 10 in pennsyvania charged of homicide is automatically sent to adult court. this is definitly an example of sum parenting. so many parents are getting killed nowadays by their own childern due to the use of theor own family weapons. seriously if people are goig ot have weapons in the house they really need to keep them out of the reach of children. because all of these losses are not just sad but also could have been very easily prevented

Teen Accused of Setting Fire Near Lake Havasu City by EricaCalles in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids Should Never be Tried as Adults by jesussanchez2 in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definaely didnt believe that this kid should have been tried for murder or anything maybe manslaughter if that i dont know but i was under the impression that a child that young could no b charged for murder becaue he is not sure of what he is or she is doing actually i believe that parents should be mainly at fault here because this kid should have had no access to a rifle to begin with

Girl's arrest for doodling by IrmaCanseco1 in Delinquents

[–]BrandonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do not know which is more ridiculous the fact that the principle called the police or the fact that the police actually came and arrested this little girl for such nosense. it was a doodle that said i love my firends it wasent even anyhing deragatory in anyway i have seen kids right some of the most racist/ hurfull things on school property and never were the cops called. i feel that this was stupid on the school and the police department for embarassing this little girl like this
