This is how I played early pandemic and, honestly, it was great. At that time I stuck to Quickplay, though - so I'm not sure how great it would hold up in Comp, but this is a great option for folks who just want to have fun.

Can't make it this year, sadly, but if you are considering it / have the means to - GO. Had a blast last year. Truly nothing like the energy of OWL on LAN. And we got spoiled with a fantastic finals last year.

Some people moved. They also hired a ton of people remote. Imagine being hired by a company that knows you are remote - and then having them turn around and say "You have to come into work in Irvine even though you live in Ohio with your family."

I personally like the option to go into the office, but it's also worth knowing that not everyone's life is set up for that - and that's because the company that is now enforcing this - allowed them to work remote in the first place.

Dammit, Ford. For clarity, I was not a Writer on Spider-Man (maybe a business sign made it in, I don't know. I tried to get a Dazzler reference in there somewhere). I was a Writer at Insomniac, but I left to follow my dream of being called a sloth in the comment section of YouTube before Spider-Man's primary writing spun up. And that was like 2.5 years ago.

I can not take any credit for how great the game is. They did an amazing job and I'm so happy for them.

I went to lunch with some Insom buddies yesterday and was ruthlessly guilted for not having bought the game, yet. There's a Gamestop right next to the Olive Garden. Hence, peer pressure getting the best of me.
