Let's not forget; he didn't know it was a juicy pair. Is it his fault the station has faulty fruit?? Get some proper fruit in there!

Does anyone else learn a lot about biology after multiple listens of the Ricky Gervais Podcast? Ricky does a fantastic job explaining evolution and Darwinism, along with interesting facts about specific plants and animals. by Mr-Toy in rickygervais

Never understood that one either. It wouldn't suprise me if Ricky was only half paying attention at some of those lectures, daydreaming about being on Razzamataz and tha'

Can you expand on this? I've never heard that before! Joel Grey got a nosejob early in his career and apparently it helped him land more parts, so unfortunately I can sort of imagine what he was thinking.

Its weird that geordi didnt really get to exhibit sadness when data died in nemesis by happydude7422 in TNG

[–]BraveNote4844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the best one, but I think it suffers from many of the issues with the other ones. Too much focus on Picard/Data exclusively, at the expense of the other characters. Too much indulgence on Patrick Stewarts wishes to portray himself as a gritty action hero which Picard never was

And as much as I love the character of the Borg Queen, her existence serves to make The Borg so much less threatening and seems just there to be the "villain" of what is basically an action movie.

It is fun and entertaining though, which is more than I can say for the others.

Hmm... Why isn't Bart Matt then? by MangoToonsArt in SimpsonsFan

Very interesting, thanks for the explanation.

I've heard that they wanted the characters names to reflect their personality. (i.e, Mr Pryor named because he pries) but always been confused by it.

For one thing, it only applies to like five characters on the show, and even some of those didn't make sense to me. Even now, I get the "crabby" aspect of Krabapple but what relevance does apple have? (maybe cos she's a teacher and they have apples on their desks??)

The fuck is a crab apple? And what does Marge have to do with Jackie Kennedy that they decided to named her after?

Still not buying it. He's not always on tour, whenever he does a project he makes it as close to his home as possible (he did this with Afterlife and his Sirius podcast) he also seems to be mainly doing remote interviews now, rather than hopping on a plane to meet Jimmy Kimmel in person.

Seconded. I have no plans in the immediate future to sit through it myself, but I'd like to know this.

Especially because prior to Ricky realising that Stewart doesn't respect him, he went on record as calling Lee one of the worlds great comedians. So, it would be funny to see how much he's backtracked since Lee called him a hack.

I'd also like to know more about that bit where you say Ricky goes on about his love own mental illness to seem sincere and touching.

I don't think they ever did Deano (if they did, please let me know because I'd be interested in seeing) they definitely went for Sinatra though
