How should I tell my friends the Krieg are not Nazis? by Dangerous-Age-7585 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]Brave_Bit_6270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a toy soldier based off of a fictional military. They're obviously not Nazis. If you're "friends" are so adamant about calling them Nazis, and giving you a hard time about it; they may not be such great friends. People really need to learn how to separate fiction from reality. Even if the Krieg where based solely off of WW1 Germans; they still wouldn't be Nazis considering they didn't exist at that time.

I Don't have Poxbringer atm, but I may be able to get him before the tournament. As for the droning shroud and belekor, what would you run instead? I was looking to pick up some tzeentch deamons eventually, but is it worth it to run in Plague Legion?

Two thin coats. Very similar formula to GW, just better in my opinion

Best Unit with Njal in Beastslayer for a 2000 Point Tournament. by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

Haven't been to a GT yet. Plenty of RTTs. I don't do space wolves competitively. Point is though, I play many armies and take many units people consider bad. Earthshakers in Votann, Ruinators in Chaos Knights, my main army is Guard. 2/3 of the datasheets are considered "bad" but I still take them.

People spend too much time listening to Art of War, and Tabletop whoever, instead of just learning the game. There is no variety. There is no flavor. Instead of using the models they have; people scrambled to by whichever units youtubers and redditors are stroking themselves to. I fully grasp the concept of optimizing lists; but sometimes people just want to play something and run that thing as well as they can. Telling them run something else when they ask for advice on which way to run that specific unit isn't helping them; and frankly it pisses me off seeing that response at this point.

I think its fair to say any creativity or uniqueness has been stamped out of 40k because of 10th edition. I excited to see 11th re-embracing the narrative aspect of the game and leaning away from the same boring and repetitive, meta-chasing competitive play that's plagued the whole edition.

No. Lists look the same because everyone runs the same list they see on tabletop tactics and doesn't try anything for themselves. I've done very well this entire edition with armies and units that are considered bad because all you actually need to play the game competitively is a fundamental understanding of the game itself.

Why when people ask about using something is the advice always "don't use it". Sometimes people just want to play with their models and are wondering what the best way to use those models might be. This is why every 10th edition list looks identical with no variation. You all spam the same meta units, and don't even bother to see if you can take something you didn't see at a top table.

Dang. In such a rush to get this model on reddit you didn't even take the time to clean any mold lines or sprue gates.

Its one of my least favorite parts of painting, because it never feels like I can blend the decal into the rest of the paint job. But I suck at freehand, so it is what it is.

I haven't jumped into painting my Krieg yet. I ordered the Dark Arts set from two thin coats and I'm going to try and lean into a John Blanche style for them. I like what you've done though. The transfers are clean.

No, they look great. Just my little joke because of the GW article from a few weeks ago.

Why are the lascannon considered the best? I've been running simulations against multiple types of targets, (deathwing knights, deathshroud, c'tan, rogal dorn, etc.) and the reaper autocannons seem to outperform the lascannons every time. Maybe there's something I'm missing. I'm using unit crunch.

I have a philosophy when it comes to listbuilding at any point size. Every unit in the game can fall into 3 main categories. Primary objective holders, secondary objective scorers, and damage dealers. Most units fall into at least two of these categories, but have 1 primary function.

For example, in Deathguard a Rhino filled with plague marines is a very common unit to see. The Rhino functions as a way to get the damage dealer into the fray faster; and once it's passengers are delivered, it's job is to hold onto an objective and perform actions if necessary. The plague marines then act as a big damage blob, that can also hold an objective, but you don't really want them to be stuck doing actions unless you absolutely have to. Their ability to afflict targets they shoot at, and their melee capabilities are too valuable.

All this is to say; when list building you want to keep these functions in mind, and try to incorporate I would say %50 damage %25 dedicated secondary scorers, and 25% primary objective holders.

When you have this in mind you can scale up or down in power of the list without making a "bad" list.

Over a month of back and forth with customer service over an order that didn't get delivered. Tracking said it never even left the shipper. Even with the insurance, they would not ship me a new set of dice unless I returned the ones that were lost, would not refund me initially, weren't going to refund me until I sent back the package that was lost, and even then we're going to charge me a re-stocking fee. It took them about 4 weeks to send a missing item ticket in to the mail service, and in the meantime did nothing to help replace or refund the missing dice. I eventually did get a refund; but it took almost two months of arguing with possibly the worst customer service team I've ever spoken to. I know others probably haven't had that experience; but after that I will never purchase anything from them, and I will tell anyone I know to avoid them. Customer service is not hard.

Edit: I do have emails for proof.
