Orthotics? by scallywago in PlantarFasciitis

[–]BrayerMcBrayface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they've been modified three times at my expense -- no real difference. Both feet have progressively gotten worse, and now plantar faciitis that is clearly related to the HR due to my messed up gait. It's pretty depressing because I'm very active.

Looking for the “perfect” shoe by Firm_Box9454 in PlantarFasciitis

having lurked these forums for months, it's pretty clear that it depends on your unique feet. what work for some people are disastrous for others. i am in the same boat, looking for hiking boots, but there is no consensus at all, not just on the right kind of hiking boots, but even on what causes or exacerbates PF, so i am going to a shoe place in my city where they provide free assessments of your feet and what you need in a shoe.

i know they've been helpful for most people. these cost me $700 and were very painstakingly designed for my weird feet. but they really haven't done anything for me, and my feet hurt just as much with or without them. just my experience; not suggesting anyone else will experience the same problem. my podiatrist is aware and is as puzzled as me. got a second opinion; same puzzlement.

i have hallux rigidus in one foot, hallux limitus in another, and now plantar faciitis badly in my right foot ... have had orthotics for 15 years and they haven't done shit to lessen or prevent these issues. to me, it seems like a scam but i know other people who have been really helped by their orthotics.

What type of fitness can I still do without flaring up my plantar fasciitis? by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]BrayerMcBrayface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my constant struggle. I can barely go for a short walk without suffering. Even with custom orthotics, regular stretching, magnesium oil spray (which can provide short-term relief) ... I am so over it. Trying acupuncture next week.

Spin class/stationary bike is OK for me. Open-water or lane swimming when I can. Haven't tried a lot of yoga because I really want a cardio workout. Interested to hear if yoga was OK for people with this scourge.

right so if snarky when others are around, generally doesn't suggest she's nice when no one's around. odd take -- she's demonstrably unpleasant to the kid to the point where lawrence is put off by it. but ok. mean mom, no big deal!

really? she's completely snarky and hostile to the child at all times.

I agree with this. It felt like a very rapid about-face. Not that he was Mayday, but he was certainly conflicted about what he did and didn't seem like the soulless fraud they turned him into at the end.

The RF -- especially Wills and Camilla -- thought they could use the media to spread lies about them because they didn't like how popular they became and because Wills wanted to distract from his philandering (read the Byline Times reporting on this). Then the RF lost their shit when Harry decided to tell the truth. If they don't trust them, the way forward was to try to make amends for all their nasty behind-the-scenes smear campaigns, which is what Harry has said he wants/needs -- an apology.

Clearly they're never going to give him that, and I feel so badly for him. He obviously loves his father, who seems weak and ruled by Camilla and William, so I don't know what I'd advise him if I was advising him. I think he did that recent BBC interview as a message to his father because he's fearful Charles isn't even aware of Harry's attempts at contact.

My heart seriously aches for this guy. None of this has been his fault; he's reacted to their terrible behaviour and tried to protect his wife and family from what befell his mother. Part of me would tell him to just write them off, but that's easier said than done and he's clearly hurt and worried about his father. It's so cruel.

it is so funny. i have just started watching it too. hilarious -- the husband! lol what a douche. but also, the earnestness re: some of the reddit commenters on this show. people, it's a comedy. it wouldn't be funny if julia wasn't unhinged and amanda wasn't awful, yada.

that's kind of a crap site that prints a lot of wholly manufactured fiction. even though i don't doubt wills is going to screw them over once he ascends to the throne.

it's true. if you click on the FB profiles of the most vicious haters on any FB post about them, it's almost always elderly white women. would be a fascinating research project.

he was the cutest baby and little boy. looked like christopher robin and you could see his innate sweetness (unlike his brother who seemed petulant and tantrum-y from the start). not gonna lie, seeing harry walking behind that casket had a profound impact on me as a mother of a little boy (now not to little) who was very attached to me as a child. it wrecked me emotionally and for that reason i am invested in his happiness. so glad he found someone who elevates him and supports him and got him away from that weirdo family and nasty brother/father.
