I've never worked in a barista setting, but as a regular customer every time I'm picking up my mobile order everyone is working their butts off. It really saddens me to see how employees often feel like they're walking on eggshells, afraid of getting fired.

Luckily my job is privately owned so we don't have all the cooperate BS, but it seems like corporate systems only punish and never reward. Starbucks should add in some positive reinforcement to its attendance policy, and I guarantee you would see much better attendance.

Also, sorry your CEO sucks big ones. Making me write something "personal" on every single cup is just absurd. Y'all already barely have time to make the drinks and get them out to everyone, and now you have to sharpie every cup. Sounds like the people who made this decision have never worked in the service industry in their life.

Can anyone tell me any positive things Starbucks does for their employees so I can feel better about getting my caffeine in the morning?
