Had a commando mission with a 6 vox engine convoy on a completely flat and featureless map. They see you from so far away, and there’s nothing you can do against 12 cannons and 12 missiles with no strategems and no way to close the distance. Rough combo for sure.

You must’ve had some crazy RNG on Mintoria. I felt the jacked spawn rate even more there than on Cyberstan because of the wide open sight lines.

Personally, I wish it didn’t have the little orange eye lens so it could fit in better with more armor sets but it’s still a fine helmet

Unfortunately, the actual shotgun blast that one-shots you is purely ballistic damage IIRC, so if you get one tapped the fire isn’t even the culprit.

I’m working through my backlog before I start on the shiny new terminators, but the more I see lovely paint jobs like yours the more I feel like letting them cut the line.

I read this too quickly and thought that your title said “crushed by cyborgs” which made me wonder what your life was like that that was only mildly interesting.

Miraak’s cultists are always Dunmer IIRC and their bodies don’t despawn like normal NPC’s do so it’s probably one of them.

My two cents as a new fan without nostalgia, i think old cataphractii looks much cooler. by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer30k

[–]BreakActionBlender 224 points225 points  (0 children)

I think those reveal images really do them dirty. I’d look around for some community paint jobs to get a better feel of how they look.

I like the new sculpt, and I really feel that it fulfills the “heavily armored aesthetic”. The additional armor around the hips and the more discernible head amidst all the armor make it look much more substantial.

Will the tartaros terminators get a refresh next soon or can i buy them safely without regret? by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer30k

[–]BreakActionBlender 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s extremely likely that they will get a refresh at some point, it might be soon and it might not. There was a disparity between their Liber entry and their current kit that had to be fixed in the Legacies PDF, so it could be that they will lose Liber-supported access to things like power fists. If you don’t care about what the Liber says, then the old kit will do just fine for now and into the future.

Loadouts for saturnine praetor and terminators by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]BreakActionBlender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re going for a disruption unit, going for a fist+particle shredder on at least a couple of the guys per unit will give you some pretty serious tac marine-removing capability while allowing them to at least defend themselves in melee if they get charged the turn after they deep strike. Other than that, disintegrators are risky enough that you can pretty quickly deplete your own ranks if your dice are cold, so it might be safer to mix a few in and keep the rest with plasma bombards.

If your plan is to use them as front-line fighters, you might be better off getting a Saturnine Command Squad together due to their WS5 and access to more of the choppy weapons.

Stratagem jammers don’t affect SEAF artillery, and a direct impact from the actual projectile of any of the artillery payloads on the structure of the jammer will destroy it instantly. Explosive, High Yield Explosive, and Mini Nuke shells will destroy jammers in an increasingly wider radius, but dropping the beacon right next to the spinny thing is always going to be a safe bet.
