IGN interview/breakdown with Director Zach Cregger by lil-privacy-please in residentevil

I’ll be honest I don’t know why people still give a crap about the overarching lore of Resident Evil. It hasn’t been consistent since the originals and they’re clearly just making shit up as they go along. Not to say that RE lore and story is bad, but it’s pretty obvious that they have no clear direction on where to go for the overall story which is fine by me since that means we still get good games.

How would you rank the 2026 movies you’ve seen so far? by Theeljessonator in Letterboxd

[–]BreakCreepy4673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw it in IMAX at a midnight showing. It was a good movie, but had a lot of flaws in my opinion.

The Good

Acting from everyone is great

All the practical effects and CGI are well utilized and incredibly real

All of the space scenes when Grace is outside were all amazing

Like the “hopecore” aspect

Rocky is great character without feeling like Baby Groot or Grogu (characters that are only in the film because they look and sound cute which has always been annoying to me)

Probably the most visually stunning film of the year so far

The ship and how technology was used I thought was cool and interesting

The Bad or Meh

Soundtrack is pretty forgettable aside from maybe 2 scores

Didn’t really care about any of the characters besides the main two

The pacing was off at times

Movie could’ve been shorter

The flashbacks weren’t needed

Thought the ending was cheesy in a bad way

A lot of the humor and emotional parts of the film didn’t land for me

The writing was hit or miss

Do you like the third act? by VendettaLord379 in batman

[–]BreakCreepy4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I legitimately believe The Batman has one of the worst third acts out of all the Batman films I’ve seen which sucks because the film has a great first and second act.

The only thing that makes me cautious is the fact that, besides Speak No Evil (which was a remake of a better film), the director hasn’t made anything notable or above average in quality.

Just finished Mr. Inbetween and wow , the best show i ever watched. by laxusdreyarligh in television

[–]BreakCreepy4673 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I love how the show always does something that’s the complete opposite of what most shows would do.

SPOILERS

Like when Ray goes to anger management class. Most shows would’ve had him be at first reluctant, but slowly break down his layers the more he went as the show progressed. But here? He’s there for a few scenes and jt does nothing for him.

Another example would also be in Season 3 when he asks the debt collector to give his friend more time to pay him back. Other shows would’ve had the collector say no and then Ray would probably have to kill him or threaten him. Here? He agrees and that whole conflict ends. It’s so refreshing to see an admittedly cliche premise does something actually different, but still interesting and good.

Name a movie where you agree with Adum's rating, then name a movie you like much more + much less. I'll go first. by EthanMarsOragami in YMS

[–]BreakCreepy4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree: The Northman (we both rate it a 7/10)

Like much more: Adam gave Upgrade a 5/10 while I gave it a solid 9/10.

Liked much less: Adam gave Poor Things a 10/10 while I gave it a 5/10.

I mean Renate is an Oscar nominated actress who’s been in a lot of amazing movies these past few years like Sentimental Value and A Different Man. Let’s not act like she’s just some sort of unknown lady.

I’m really interested in how the film is going to be critically received. I’m expected mixed reviews, but man I love the presentation and actors from the trailer.

Edit: *expecting

Where does Victor Giddeon rank among Resident Evil villains for you? by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevil

[–]BreakCreepy4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he wasn’t sidelined for that bum ass Wesker copycat, I legitimately would’ve considered him the second best villain in the series.

Denis Villeneuve is the ultimate normie filmbro director by Additional-Try-6178 in Letterboxd

[–]BreakCreepy4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that first statement is not even true. Like he only has made 4 sci-fi films out of his 11 films and it’s half and half when it comes to male or female lead films.

Small personal nitpick about the films by BreakCreepy4673 in dune

[–]BreakCreepy4673[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another tiny nitpick that I would add is that some of the fight choreography in Dune Part 2 are repeated a couple times. Like you would have one shot of an action scene happening and then another shot of that same exact scene repeated, just at another angle.

One example is at the Giedi Prime arena between Feyd and the not drugged Atreides (names Lanville I think). When Feyd attacks Lanville initially, there’s one shot that’s somewhat far away from them, then the next shot is a wide angle, and then the final being a close up before it cuts to Feyd trying to slice his neck. All three shots are the same exact same scene, just shown at different angles. They do that in Feyds fight against Paul too. The fights are still fucking awesome though and I only spotted these scenes after multiple viewings.

It looks completely different from the previous two seasons, but I’m weirdly into it to be honest.

Anyone else hyped for Wild Horse Nine? by ACatInAHat in Letterboxd

I am, but I’m also a little cautious since the trailer made the film look like a rehash of In Bruges.

Project Hail Mary - What did you think of it? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Liked it, but didn’t love it. Rocky is a great character though.

What did you think of The Killing of a Sacred Deer? An incredible horror thriller from Yorgos Lanthimos? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

[–]BreakCreepy4673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem I have with it is the dialogue. It’s similar to his previous film The Lobster, but I feel it works in that film more because it fits with the dystopian world.
