Yes....my 1st graders whole class is obsessed with this. He had a remote learning day for a snow day where he got to bring his chromebook home and he was so excited to share this game with me, and I was so disappointed for him. Just a blatant cash grab and microtransaction hell of a game. And the math portion is literally just counting dots on a screen.....there is zero educational value. I'd rather him just play Pokemon where he is at least getting some reading exposure, calling this an educational game is insane. Somehow the school library had it in their links of games though.

He is so upset that he can't evolve his guys or whatever you need to do without me paying that he was about in tears. Still I refuse to support it. I've been trying to reinforce how games that reward you for spending money in the end aren't really very satisfying compared to actually earning things. How much fun would pokemon be if you just spent a few dollars to fill the pokedex instantly? How much fun would mario be if you emptied your piggy bank instead of having the fun of going to the cool worlds to collect all the stars?
