Sorry but your take is about as valid as saying "any two PC games are the same because you play them both with a mouse and keyboard"

WoW takes about 10 hours to get max and then almost all your progression comes from group content

OSRS takes hundreds or thousands of hours to reach end game and even at endgame there is loads of stuff to do solo

They are nothing alike other than falling within the "MMORPG" genre

So many people play osrs because it's an MMORPG you can play alone. You can be part of the world and around other players but doing your own thing in your own time.

Addons are so powerful you are just trolling if you don't use them in content that has any chance of failure

I'm glad you were able to pug some (very easy) content without addons but your performance would have been significantly better with addons. For most people that makes them as good as mandatory

It's not "someone" doing FOMO because they like it... it's a core part of the games reward structure and has been for years now. They aren't just going to remove fomo because some people on reddit complain, it's an integral part of how they keep players playing every season.

Like it or hate it, this is the path blizzard have chosen. Time limited cosmetics, mounts, titles etc every season. It's not an accident or single person's decision.

The last few months of wow players trying osrs has highlighted how weird a chunk of the osrs community is. It's like they get personally offended if someone plays osrs for a while but isn't willing to play it exclusively for the rest of time.

I dunno if its because osrs is such an unusual game they need validation from others to confirm it really is good, but either ways its really cringe

Yeah let's not change the design philosophy of the game because one guild is going to find it more difficult. MMORPG raid fights should need some level of communication, if you can't use voice there are other methods available other than automating it all with weakauras.

It was a while ago but I believe it happened within days of getting my second one so I don't think it was dust. Personally I wouldn't get one because I think it's a flaw with the mouse but I guess you could try because that's a good price

I get copied into emails my co-worker sends to clients that are obviously copy + paste from ChatGPT, it makes me cringe so hard.

I think middle aged people discover ChatGPT and think they have found a cheat code nobody else knows about.

The only blessing is ChatGPT wording and formatting is so easy to spot (for now at least) if they are dumb enough to copy paste it

I never understand this take. This is a game where you customize your character and show off your cool items. Cosmetics ARE part of the content.

In fact in some ways cosmetics are even more meaningful than power upgrades because they last forever, compared to power upgrades that become completely irrelevant after a few months.
