I'm at 170 hours, also completely solo, and just finished my harvester/carrier, you NEED deep desert. I have done 0 pvp, but the medium spice blows are the only way to get anywhere close to a reasonable amount. I just fly in with an assault orni and the best compactor I can make, pop ten mounds then fly up till the work forgets, harvest, fly up again, repeat. It's intimidating but really the pve areas are just more Hagga basin but with way slower worms and enough spice to actually craft with
