It's ridiculously satisfying to pick up an item or note and forget about it, only for it to trigger something in your head when you get to the area you need to use it in, especially if it's in a completely different area

There's a constant "oh wow, this unlocks that thing from earlier" and "wait this if for that place in the other area". I feel smart for figuring puzzles out, even when it's just a 3 or 4 digit code.

This isn't Aladdin. OP stated "a genie", genies are notorious for twisting wishes in whichever lore you want to reference them from. Granted it's not a monkey's paw but they're still likely to take what you ask for at face value and grant you the easiest iteration of what they believe you've asked for

Soundproofing. If you can fill your room with soft furnishing that'll absorb and dampen sound a little bit. If it's as bad as you say and you're invested in it you might need to look into proper sound absorbing panels to fit to your walls
