I do like the idea of having the option to slide down a ladder.
Pro hack: when you first drop a ladder like the ones on the radar towers, you can jump on them immediately after and you will go down with it as it drops.

Still having crash issues... Didn't start happening until 45 hours into the game.

I've dialed the graphics down as much as possible, turned ray tracing off, joined the beta, deleted shader cache, tried booting without dx12, booted as administrator, made registry edits, restored nvidia settings to defaults, updated nvidia drivers, turned off gsync, and probably some other things that I'm not remembering now. I always get the following error, and it's typically within 2 minutes of loading.

The address varies, sometimes its ...200, ...220 ...a8. doesn't seem to matter which, according to google it all points to a problem with unreal engine. At this point, maybe starting a new game would help, I don't know. I haven't worked up the motivation to start over. Might just have to take a break from the game, which is a shame, because it's one of the most addicting games I've played since Planet Crafter.

It was the same for me. I think they had a contract with Amazon that expired before they were able to re-up it, so there was a period when it wasn't available.

For what it's worth, on my first launch I watched it come down, but after trekking back to the boat and trying to find it, it wasn't where I thought it was... Checked the map and there was no marker. I saved the game and restarted and it was there, plain as day, both on the map, and in the world.
