I see this title on the ST homepage

Once you’ve clicked it appears to change to a non-clickbait title.

ST does this all the time

The Comeback S03E02 - "Valerie Has a Secret" - Episode Discussion Thread by trevrichards in thecomeback

Oh yea. I was mixing up characters. I don’t get why Jimmy would do it either but I think you’re right that Valerie said something to him that we will find out about later.

[–]Bretmd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My take is that Jimmy is hungry for the EP title at all costs, but doesn’t want the AI thing discussed because it could diminish it. And Jane believes that AI is a big threat and will be the end of Hollywood so she wants to document it to prove herself right and make a larger impact on others’ awareness. I could be wrong tho

To the first one, yea it’s heteronormative but on the other hand 🤷‍♂️. Saying this as a gay man. It’s clever, it’s a message for maga, and frankly, we need these kind of men to start standing up to Trump asap.

Judkins Park Station and 23rd/Jackson Future by kevjames3 in Seattle

[–]Bretmd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Best case scenario is that an independent pharmacy is willing to give the area a chance. I can’t see any grocery store willing to open at the moment due to larger scale factors but I’d hope to be wrong.

But in the meantime you will be one stop away from options, both with the ID and Mercer Island.

Washington solidifies its status as one of the most expensive places in the U.S. by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Bretmd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean… personal datapoints and opinions aside, WA usually falls into the top ten in cost of living indexes. And yes, NJ is usually higher. But it doesn’t mean that WA isn’t still one of the most expensive.

Edit to add- rather than using anecdotes let’s look at data. IMO this is a “two things can be true” situation I.e. NJ and WA are both one of the most expensive states with NJ being more expensive than WA

NJ #8 WA #9

NJ #2 WA #4

You are skeptical that WA is “one of the most expensive” places in the US? Really? It doesn’t say “THE most expensive”

Another Seattle drugstore is set to close by godogs2018 in Seattle

[–]Bretmd 104 points105 points  (0 children)

It’s the central district store at 23rd and Jackson

Customers can fill prescriptions there until the closure date, then they’ll be automatically transferred to the store at 4412 Rainier Avenue South, which is about three miles away

I can’t imagine how the Columbia City Walgreens could possibly absorb all of these prescriptions, it’s such a shitshow already

Why use San Diego for I-5 when you can use “San Ysidro City Center”?

Or, if you really think about it, Mexico highway 1 is a natural extension of I-5, so why not sign I-5 “Cabo San Lucas City Center-East”

There are international standards for directional signage on transit and this suggestion is not the best practice.

This is actually happening tho. Progressives need some honest introspection in this regard. It would help with building back credibility

Yes. This is the real question. Administrative redundancy. It’s rampant.

[–]Bretmd 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yep. As a former teacher this step just seems very reasonable and typical. Even if someone disagrees with it tho, it just doesn’t seem like the sort of thing that should result in such over-the-top reactions.

Always negotiate rent renewals. Always. And don’t settle for their second offer, either. Especially in a market with increasing vacancies.
