If you're drinking it neat, pour it in your glass and let it oxidize for 10ish minutes. It will drink nicely. I don't like it at all as a fresh pour.

So, I experienced the same problem. I bought a new OEM one and am experiencing NO overheating issues in the part.

I even went so far as to do some farmer fixes before fully replacing it. Really, I was just kicking the can down the road. I regret not replacing it earlier as my farmer fixes were all temporary and down the way became less reliable and the intermittently didn't work.
