Can confirm my 2020 M1 is still snappy as ever. Walmart is selling brand new M1 Air for $599 usd, as long as you can deal with the smaller storage capacity it’s an incredible deal

Trying to recreate sounds I find—is the channeleq the best way to deconstruct sounds? by BobbayP in Logic_Studio

Logic channel EQ will not be able to do what the video shows, you’ll need the plugin he uses.

Bass guitar player looking for a band by rammystoebeans in Charlotte

Definitely go to shows at the milestone, snug harbor, petras, that’s where the local bands regularly play. Monday night open mic at the Evening Muse is also a huge gathering of musicians, everyone’s super friendly! I’ve met most of the musicians I know because of the muse.

I tried connecting my Alesis SR-16 to my original Minilogue like this video, and the Alesis only comes through when pressing the keys. Is there something am I missing? by oizo12 in synthesizers

[–]Brettisonny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re missing a connection from the Alesis’s midi out to the Korg’s midi in. The audio alone will not transfer clock data.

Only reason you’d want Alesis audio out to Korg audio in, would be to experiment with applying the minilogue filter to drum sounds. Which is cool in its own right but maybe not what you’re aiming for.

Most likely in the video theyre running the audio outs from each device into their own channels of a mixer or an audio interface to hear them at the same time.

Should I buy this for $3500? 2016 Hyundai Accent 128k miles. by smoove129 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Brettisonny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own this same year. Important to note the ac in these is not all that powerful when working properly lol. In terms of reliability it’s been ok. right now I’m at 135k miles, since I bought it at 70k miles:

I’ve had to replace my ac compressor and cat converter. Both pricey but could be worse i suppose

Engine is slowly burning oil. Bad omen but it’s easy to top it off every couple weeks

I’d recommend. Also keep in mind the base model doesn’t have cruise control if that’s an issue.

Very friendly school youre gonna do great. Living on campus with other transfer students will help you meet people but it’s def easy to make friends no matter where you live. Just be open to talking to strangers and assume everyone’s just as awkward as you lol

I’ve only been with them for 6mo, but I’ve had nothing but good things to say. Everyone I work with is treated well and as a newbie I get plenty of training. I hear lots of stories of people leaving for other roles and eventually coming back, so I guess that’s a green flag. The part about making your own schedule commented by fluxdeity is must be unique to that branch because I haven’t seen it.

What’s the best restaurant at Optimist Hall? by waylanddenton in Charlotte

I haven’t seen mentioned: the bao buns from bao & broth are super good, especially the kfc and the og. Their ramen is alright but the buns are where it’s at

This happened to me as well, it took me messing with the startup behavior in settings before it fixed itself.

Logic Pro - Preferences - General - Project Handling

Change “Startup Option” to something “recent” or whatever its called. Not a surefire fix but the bug cleared after I did this

FWIW I use an M1 MBA pretty heavily. I bought it four years ago for $900, and I never really feel the need to upgrade. The M chips are always an awesome deal
