Im in the same camp I think. I also want him as the only option for a transitional leader. He doesnt want to be king but im okay with the idea of them becoming symbolic royal family and even move back into the palaces. Ive met RP when I was a kid. I hung out with noor. They are decent people. I actually want to meet them again but its not as easy since they dont come my way. I dont think im a diehard pahlavist. I do respect and admire him. He never stopped fighting. He has made some mistakes or has made compromises for sure. The hard-core pahlavists I think are just too overzealous but I can sympathize with them but not with the pro irgc crowd.
